I write this review with a heavy heart. Warning to pet owners who plan to have a major operation done. I took 2 cats to Dr. Mahan to get them declawed. He uses the "clip" procedure and then uses a glue (like superglue) to close the wounds. Long story short... it has been over two weeks and the cats are still in pain and limping. Their paws are infected. He clipped some of the foot pad, which is extremely painful. The superglue was over-applied and thoroughly covers the paws, so the cats are walking on clumps of hair and dried blood. I took them to another veterinarian who concurred that the operation was poorly done and provided medicine for recovery. I just feel terrible.

Dr. Mahan is a very, very nice older man (probably in his late 70's), but does not have any support staff and his facilities appear worn down. I am sure Dr. Mahan is fine to use for basic procedures like vaccinations, etc., but please don't take you pet to have a major operation.
