Alliance Bakery

It's nice to sit outside of this bakery and coffee shop when the weather's warm. The baked goods are very good. Otherwise, though, I wouldn't bother sticking around because they have kind of a weird setup--the room with the couches is basically an adjacent storefront and is really quiet. I guess it's ok if you're studying, but even then, the lighting is not great and it's a little dirty.

Good study spot with a variety of teas and coffees. Baked goods are great. Quiet room usually full of people studying. Makes you feel like you should too.

Alliance bakery is a cute little bakery located on Division Street west of Ashland Avenue. It is a small establishment with desserts and goodies that have a big and rich taste. I have particularly enjoyed their cupcakes. They load on the frosting and they are quite deluxe! The presentation of the cupcakes is also original. The prices are not bad, either!

This may not be the most organized company, but if you're willing to make a few follow-up calls, you will be rewarded with tremendous cake! The owners have an inspiring passion for their work and you can taste it! Cake tastings are incredible and personal. Come hungry! Their designs are inventive and they have a real willingness to work with your ideas.
