University Group

University Group is by far one of the worst realtors in the Champaign-Urbana area. They have horrible customer service and are rude to all their tenants. They are arrogant and therefore think it is below them to help their paying rentees with maintenance and financial issues. They issue eviction notices without reason, charge for extraneous phantom reasons, and leave customers on hold on the phone for extended periods of time. It also takes then many days if not weeks in order to take care of maintenance issues. My apartment had mold on the ceiling that was making my roommate and I sick. They refused to take care of it and after weeks of calling they finally came in and merely painted over it. The mold was still visible and my roommate and I were still sick. After nearly a month of living in a rundown, moldy apartment and persistant calling, they came and replaced the ceiling. University Group also towed my car out of my spot that I pay for every month and refused to reimburse me even at their own mistake, they also made no effort to contact me before towing me out of my spot. There is really no sense of communication amongst the people that work there and the people living on their properties. Even my own mother said it looked like we were living in the slums by the condition of the apartment.

The best college living experience that one could imagine. Spacious and clean apartments at reasonable prices. Centrally located to all major centers of campus and the surrounding areas. Friendly and courteous staff that are always willing to help. Maintenance requests are always taken care of promptly and correctly the first time.

By far the worst management company in Champaign. Horrible maintenance, overpriced. Both apartments I rented from them were filthy with bugs. Their staff was awful.
