First of all, this is NOT an authentic indian food.
second, buffet is expensive.
third, taste of the food is sweet. This is not how indian food tastes. This is a good place but certainly NOT the place for INDIANS to have authentic indian food.
Service is good compared to other indian restaurants.

I have been to this resturant couple of times and I have found the food very tasty. The service is good and the ambience great. I like some of the south indian delicacies served here.

The lunch buffet has a nice variety of meat and vegetarian dishes ranging from mild to spicy. The food is fresh and the Tandoori Chicken is moist and flavorful. There usually are two or three chicken and meat dishes and Nan is brought to the table. We have been very satisfied with the quality and variety of the food at the Buffalo Grove location (there are other locations in the area). Well worth a visit.

This is the place to go if you want to try authentic Indian food. There lunch buffet is the best bet and features a range of appetizers, vegetarian and non vegetarian curries, rice, salad, bread and sweet dish. With such an extensive menu, everyone is sure to find stuff suiting to one's palate. Nice ambience, great customer service makes it a unique dining experience.

PROS: Extensive Menu, Ambience, Food
CONS:

My husband and I live close to India House, and we go pretty often. We tend to order the madras chicken (a creamy, stewed chicken) or the shikhari chicken (a minty, oven-grilled chicken that's like tandoori, but green) the most often, with the fried vegetable fritters for starters (when you find what you love, why change?) We love the food, but the service can be consistently slow or forgetful. If you live in the area, India House mails 20% off coupons out to residents -- and we will continue to go back for the food.

Pros: Consistently Good Food with Lots of Flavor
