The owner and visionary of PUSH, R.D. sold his end of the business in 04 when his partner brought in another partner from a shop in the burbs with no credibility. After this and moving into a larger space a few doors down the core of Chicago skateboarding was lost to them. R.D. has moved on to the production side of the industry.

located right on chicago avenue a block from michigan avenue, this skate shop sells complete boards, apparal and skate shoes. they sell their own 'push' brand of clothing in addition to the usual skate brands. staff was friendly when i was there last and answered all my questions, it was obvious they were skaters. hours aren't the best, call ahead and don't expect to find parking right in front, in fact I suggest taking public transportation rather than driving.

PROS: friendly staff
CONS: extremely difficult parking
