My daughter started Tae Kwon Do with Master Yu at the age of 8 years old. She struggled with Tae Kwon Do at first, especially with flexablity. She never gave up.

Master Yu's guided and encouraged her every step of the way.
Today my daughter is a BLACK BELT-

Master Yu provided the environment to help build her confidence and strentgh.

I highly recommend Master's Yu's -Tae Kwo Do for all

Just be very careful signing any contracts, especially if your child has never had experience with this sport. I signed the 1 year contract, and my son hated tae kwando. While I agree that I owe them the full year, they showed absolutely no mercy. My son was having health issues at the time, too. Now, a year later-I'm still paying. It's so frustrating. Don't make the same mistake I did!

What is extrodinary about this school is people of all ages are welcomed. Striving their best to reach the same goals. Classes are broken down in a step-by-step that is easily followed in a well mannered enivoriment.

We have known Master Yu and this school for 5 years. We had been at another school previously and it was not a good experience - it was a very flashy place but was rough on the students. Master Yu has a gift for teaching. I have 2 children who are in his program and they have both excelled under his gentle guidance. One is very athletic and the other is not. He is able to intuitively adjust his method so that each person gets what they need out of the class. He is VERY involved in the teaching and it is rare that he is not the one leading the class. The school competes 2-3 times a year and always does well. It may not appear to have a lot of bells and whistles but it has something even more important - heart and soul.

Yong-In Martial Arts allows people from any age to come together and try to achieve a common goal. There is a course for the little kids to do so that they can have more understanding when getting into the real classes. Martial Arts teaches respect and self-discipline which are very important principles in life. Overall this is a great experience and I would highly recommend it.

I had some experience in martial arts before I had to look for another martial arts school. From my first couple visits, I have learned the master of the school focuses on fundamental of martial arts. Which I think is a key to good martial arts training. As an adult, I have been looking for some physical training as well as technique to sharpen my skills. I am very happy with Master Yu's program and atmosphere of the school, I am suggesting my wife and kids to join me. I am very glad I met Master Yu and very happy to be a part of the school.

Good place to learn and train your self. People are so respectful and the place is clean and spacious. I did my own research on master??s credential before I joined and found that Master Yu is one of very few masters in Chicago area who actually has a bachelor's degree in Tae Kwon Do. (Yong-In University, I had to ask). He also had a coaching experience for couple of Tae Kwon Do teams in Korea and a quite few championships in various international tournaments. His teaching technique is very systematic almost too simple. He breaks down the movement in pieces so it??s easier to follow and constant repeats on the movements in every class. (which was huge for me since I am not a very athletic person and don??t have those natural talents to figure out how my muscles should move) I think it??s very similar to Golf, it??s important to have a basics down and right before you try to hit the ball too hard. The higher belts are asked to warm up the class as a part of the leadership skill requirement. It is actually pretty amusing watching 8 years old one leading the adults for warm up and stretching. One thing you should always ask when you are looking for Tae Kwon Do school is if the degrees are certified by The World TaeKwonDo Federation. That is the only certified universal degree you will be credited by any instructor and masters around the world.
