I was a patient there at least 5ish years ago. The staff was fairly friendly even though I was terrified of the dentist. I found it odd that every time my sister would go one time and I would go a week later, he would tell me I had the same problems as her, (cavities, etc.) and I knew it was not a coincidence we'd both have the same things....come on. When he came to do the final examination the last time I was there, he took the metal pick and pushed on my teeth as usual to check for cavities. He did it repeatedly on one tooth progressively harder till I jumped and screamed a bit b/c it hurt so bad. He literally ended up pulling me up on the chair he pulled so hard (and did this with many other teeth too). He then said I had cavities. I proceeded to sit up, tell him he yanked too hard and said I was never coming back. I still have had no problems in which I would have if I really did have 3 cavities as he claimed I did. Also, he told my parents I'd never have to have braces/retainers if they'd pull my teeth to make the room. Well, a few years after my sister had to have braces, guess what...he made me have them too even after having a lot of my teeth pulled. Thanks to him I am now a 22 yr old scared of dentists b/c of him. Do NOT take your children there! Watch to see if a pattern comes up if you have multiple children!

I chose 4 out of 5 stars due to 5 stars description was "world class", well that's why. Anyways, my daughter has been going here since she sprouted her first baby tooth. She is now 9 1/2 years old and still loves to go there. She has went through numerous teeth pullings, cavities, fillings, and retainers, all were very good experiences. They have a small indoor basketball area (which does get very loud at times), and a little area for coloring and watching cartoons. My kids were always entertained before they were called upon. As the kids get bigger they do ask that parents wait in the waiting room and I have found this to be very beneficial as my daughter did listen better and not cry when I was not back there, but if you want to be, they will allow you. They have two other rooms for smaller children to be brought into, otherwise it's a big room with all the chairs so the children do not feel as confined. We are very happy with the service we have received.

My daughter (now 6) has been seeing Dr. Thompson since she she was a toddler. The staff, as well as Dr. Thompson, not only make me feel comfortable but most importantly, they make my daughter feel comfortable. She loves going to the dentist. Last fall she had to have her bottom 2 baby teeth pulled because her permanent teeth were wedging in right behind and not pushing the baby teeth out. Dr. Thompson made her feel special and comfortable. She couldn't have been happier when it was all done. She received a special box to put her teeth in for the tooth fairy. I could go on and on but needless the say, we have been totally satisfied with Dr. Thompson.

I hate to even give them 1 star, but it wouldn't let me give them none! I took my son (4yrs old) here for the past 2 years. Up until this last visit things were fine. Then this past visit, my child was upset and crying and Dr. Thompson actually grabbed my child and shook him yelling at him to stop crying! That was it! NO ONE touches a child and yells at them the way he did. We left and didn?t even finish the visit. Now my son is scared for life when it comes to going to the dentist! NEVER AGAIN! BEWARE! This man is CRAZY! He should not be treating children!

My son has been a patient of Dr Thompson for 6 years. I have had nothing but a positive experience. The office is child friendly with a basketball room for children to play before their appt. They also provide coloring books, paper, and crayons for the little artist. And of course several televisions and magazines that appeal to both the children and adults waiting. Dr Thompson is very personable, friendly, and always willing to take the time to answer any of my questions and discuss any concern that I may have. My son began going to his office at the age of 4. At that time the staff was more than willing to allow me to sit in the exam room with him as he waited and also during the exam. This continued until he was about 6. At that time he had become comfortable with the routine and went in the back alone. The office staff has also been friendly answering billing and appointment questions. They have also gone above and beyond on several occasions to inquire with my insurance company on coverage, faxing payment ledgers to me, and following up with me on appointment issues that I have may have had, even when the office was closed. I have not had a negative experience with this office to date. I would highly recommend this office to any parent.

PROS: Friendly and Personable doctor and staff
CONS: Nothing negative to date.

I really hate to give a negative recommendation to a children's dentist but here goes. He was very personable, friendly and informative when dealt with personally. But his billing and pre-estimates of care were not accurate, and his office staff was less than friendly and were often mis-informed. Parents are not allowed in the exam areas and children are anesthetised for even simple procedures. I just wasn't comfortable continuing to use this office.
