I just got home from trying to sell my clothes to Plato's Closet and I am very unhappy. They told me that it would take about 30 minutes which was fine. I went to get something to eat really fast and came back. They were already done processing what I had brought in so I walked up to the counter. They said that they had to pass on everything that I brought in because it was "last season and that just doesn't sell well." I replied with, "Really? Because I see a pair of jeans and a sweater RIGHT THERE that are identical to ones in my basket." They came back with, "We've had those for four years and they haven't sold." Hmm... I'm just not too sure. Needless to say I am not at all happy with the service that I was given today at the Plato's Closet in Greenwood.

They buy and sell clothing shoes dvds and all other sorts of items at decent prices and it is always good to get money out of your clothing if you won;t wear it anymore.

I've shopped at Plato's Closet many times and have found some great/tredy clothing at good prices. I have also dropped clothing off to consign. They are very picky on what they take but they do pay pretty good. My overall experience with them has been pretty good.
PROS: Good Prices; Pay well for consigned items
CONS: Very picky on items you drop off.

You can find awesome deals on very gently used clothing at Plato's Closet and all of their items come from upper scale clothing stores such as Abercrombie and Fitch, Express and the Gap. However, you would be better off donating your old clothes and taking the tax write off or selling them on Ebay. This store offers you hardly anything for your used items and unless you have quite a bit to sell it just doesn't seem worth it.

I love this store! They have nice well-known brand clothes for cheap price. The catch is... most of their clothes are gently used. They have nice selections of up-to-date fashion for both guys and girls. If you don't mind used clothes and some digging, this store is for you. You can get cute clothes for very cheap. I found my dream jeans at this Platos Closet!
They also buy gently used and new clothes and other stuff for cash.
