The people here are unprofessional. They are more involved in their own personal drama than the care of anyone here. They have no problem hiring the emotionally disturbed which is not what I want for anyone I care about. Cleanliness....not

I visited Regency when we decided my mom needed to be put into a long term facility. I had many questions about how her long term care insurance would work and about the medicaid process if we needed it. The gal they had me talk to, Maria or Marika, was rude and not helpful at all. She made me feel dumb and she kept trying to hurry up with me.
I still toured the facility after that. The nursing staff seemed friendly and asked me as many questions about what my mom needed as I asked about their place. I did notice a urine smell in the hallways. Also, there were about a dozen patients who were in wheelchairs just sitting around the nurses station. They were not being talked to or interacted with but just sitting there. That did not impress me.
We visited many facilitieson Indy's southside. I liked the Cardon building the best and that is where mom is now. I also liked the ones operated by American Senior Communities. The office people at these locations were very willing to help me understand how we would pay for mom's stay.

Pros: Nursing staff friendly, good Medicare/caid rating

Cons: Rude front office, smelled, patients left in halls
