Ray's Movers & Storage Inc

Like all legal documents, we urge our customers to read the paperwork before signing, which is clearly stated at the bottom of our Releasal Forms. This customer that is referring to a damage by our company, did not follow the Policies and Procedures for Damage Claims. The waiver, that would hold up in an arbitration through the AMSA (American Moving and Storage Association), clearly stated that Ray's Movers Inc. assumes no responsibility to damage to the following items: Presswood furniture, marble, plastic, ceramic, waterbeds and other non-repairable items. Also at the top of that form that customer signed it also states that External Damages will be resolved or repaired only by persons contacted by Ray's Movers Inc, with the exception of those listed blow, which stated Marble is not covered unless additional valuation is purchased. For Local moves there is a standard valuation that is free to every customer.
We apologize that the customer is dissatisfied, but all policies and procedures were followed when handling this claim. The actual amount of repair is $100.00 by my records. Ray's Movers followed protocol for this customer all the way through the claim. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We had recently used Ray's movers to store our furniture till our house was built. When it came time to deliver we were told by the driver of their truck that we needed to sign some papers first. He told us they would not unload until we signed a disclaimer, in essence they were holding our furniture hostage. During the unloading one of their men dropped a coffee table on our granite fireplace threshold and of course cracked the granite. Ray's refused to pay for the repair. We were out $700. Ray's movers are rude and irresponsible. Stay far away
