Ratings_icons North vs. West vs Dunigan Y

Rebecca H.

I haven't had issues with the staff that Nicole mentions. Not even sure if they have one. Pretty non-existent as far as being around to help with questions related to the machines. I'm not thrilled there is no child care on Sundays & limited on Saturdays.
Equipment wise, the West side is pretty shabby. North side better. Maintenance of both facilities borderline. The West side locker room is fine though outdated feeling. The North side is smelly & the showers are all in need of adjustments. Elite has nice hand held showers in every shower!
All in all the Y is better & less than half the cost. plus free child care & many more kid activities. Just wish it was better located.

I have just started working out here and so far I like it. It is a large place with just about anything I could want. They have trainers available to help me and I am starting to see some difference. The price is in line with any other gym. My wife says she is going to take some of their classes after the holidays so we will have someplace to go together.

Ratings_icons nice facility, not nice staff

I wouldn't recommend this gym, unless you are male, good looking and single......heck the single doesn't even matter. When you first join they are very nice to you, but as your membership goes on, the friendliness decreases. Also, they change rules around too. Especially the nursery rules. Membership is around $50 nursery is extra- $12 for one kid and $6 for each additional. They have 2 locations, North side and West side. They do have a nice new facility, and a swimming pool & sauna. The decor is mostly purple, not too manly, yet not too girly. They do offer quite a few classes, for all althletic levels, or you can work out on your own on the machines.

PROS: nice facility, swimming pool
CONS: staff

Bob's Gym has programs to fit everyone! Their facilities are up-to-date and accessible 24 hours a day. They have also recently introduced a walking program at the zoo to help encourage community fitness. They are friendly and helpful, but their prices are a bit high.

This is a very nice gym. They really want to see you reach your fitness or weightloss goals. The staff is very nice and helpful. Their trainers are absolutely excellent if you can afford them. The owner does a lot to help the community and to me that means a lot. Parking is easy to get in and out of.
