I went there today with my 3 yr. old daughter to get her first hair cut an a mani and let me tell you.. it was a wonderful experience. They hair dresser was amazing with her and we worked together to get her to move her head how the hair dresser needed it positioned to get it done. Her nails look adorable as well. I must say.... we will be going back there.

I was browsing the web and came across the reviews of our Greenwood location. Since the time of these reviews we are under new ownership/management and hope you will give us a chance to earn your business. Our goal is to help children discover how much fun a haircut can be while providing quality hair care for children. We work hard to make sure we are providing the type of customer service you expect. We have moved our salon to a new location and are now open at 1001 SR 135, Greenwood, IN 46142. We are just south of County Line Rd. next to Stein Mart. We are open Mon-Fri 9am to 8pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, and Sunday 12pm-5pm. Walk-ins Welcome - Appointments Available. 317-885-7752

I just took my 2 year old to Cookie Cutters for a haircut and our experience was not good. The stylist was grouchy and not friendly at all. I put my daughter in the chair and she immediately snapped the drape around her neck and started spraying water on her head without even telling her what she was doing or addressing her at all. The idea of Cookie Cutters is good in theory, and the atmosphere seemed ok. The TVs are a nice touch, and the slide is fun, but with grumpy and unwelcoming service it isn't fun for kids at all. Next time we will send her to Sport Clips with Daddy where they actually have fun with kids, and only charge $5 instead of 20. Would not recommend this and will never go back

Took my Grandson last night for first hair cut - 8 months old. We had an appointment but was 4-5 minutes late because of traffic and rain. They were very rude and said we were late but they would try to work us in. They took everyone

We took our 14-month-old grandson for his first haircut to the Greenwood location yesterday. Extremely unpleasant experience. The beauticians are so unfriendly, unsmiling, it's rude and unprofessional. We had expected smiling assistance, not frowning faces that looked like we were bothering them, looked like they didn't like children. And, there weren't even busy. The impression that we were bothering them was reinforced when the lady who cut his hair was sending personal text-messages while we were checking out. In addition, our baby's back of the head was left with a red rash for the rest of the day and the quality of photograph that was taken at the end was also very poor, blurry and with a red glary eyes. I remember the first hair-cuts of my children. Back then they didn't have these supposedly towards children geared businesses, but the regular beautishops were way more friendly than these people.

As a local review writer, I give a word of caution to would be customers. I find it peculiar that the first two reviews of this merchant seem disappointing and the final two are a stark contrast (one almost reads like a self-promoted advertisement).

While I have never actually used this merchant, It is likely and possible that the merchant may be using these final two ads to contend with real customers who have actually had bad experiences.

Until further reviews can be placed in to accurately judge whether or not this is so, I would objectively use this merchant with a word of warning and consider the first two ratings as the more likely judgement of this vendor. Better safe than sorry.

PROS: Friendly Kid atmosphere
CONS: potentially inexperienced staff

My child got hair cut here its so fun they get to watch tv while getting their haircut but after fixing her hair and going home I realized her hair was crooked in the back how lousy that was for paying 18.00. Would not recommend.

PROS: movies
CONS: bad cut and expensive.

We went to Cookie Cutters expecting a haircut that would be straight and well-cut.

We left with hair that looked like I had cut it myself.

While I appreciate the idea of cookie cutters, I cannot understand why they would hire young hairstylists who cannot cut a straight haircut.

My daughter's hair looked choppy and uneven on the bottom (We wanted a bob style).

The hairstylist was apparently getting ready to leave for the day & her boyfriend (?) was waiting for her outside of the door, this meant for a quick cut. Maybe she would do better if she wasn't in a hurry to get out, but still.

I did call and they offered to recut the hair to make it even, this meant that the bob, was not up to the middle of her ear. Very short hair cut to fix it, I had to drive to Castleton to get it done, but all in all, I did get it worked out.

I will however, be taking my business elsewhere.

PROS: Kid friendly atmosphere
CONS: Overpriced haircut by tip-expecting hairstylists who cannot cut straight

Ah, cookie cutters. Our childs favorite place to go. Cookie Cutters is by far one of the best places to take young children for their haircut.

Why?

Great Distraction technique.

Great Prices for this distraction, and not having a screaming child in the process.

Distraction includes a selecion of books, gaming systems, playland and other play toys for while you wait.

Ample seating for tired Moms' and Dad's.

Big People door to the restroom, with a sweet little people door in the big door for your little one.

Great selection of cars, trucks, nascar, barbie, regular seat for child to sit in while having hair cut.

Large selection of hair products just for Jr.

Several packages to choose from which vary in price. Including but not limited to a "My first haircut" in which they collect a first snipet of hair, take a picture of your sweetie and print out a cute certificate to commemorate the milestone.

Over all Cookie cutters is a wonderful place. The only reason it doesn't get a full 5 blingers from me is In 11 years, we've never gotten a straight hair cut. An' believe me I'm not picky, I'll cut my own childs hair if I have to and you know the disaster that can be. But...Hey? What do you expect? With all the distractions it's hard to make your little one keep still.

It's worth they wait, worth the money and worth the crooked hair cut. Just to see your sweetie smile walking out with a baloon weighted with a plastic cookie cutter and a darling sticky sucker face smile. :)

Note: they usually need you to make an appointment. Your smart to do so as they are usually busy.

PROS: All the wonderful distractions
CONS: We've never gotten a straight hair cut in 11 years, but what do I expect?

We have taken our son to get hair cuts at Cookie Cutters. Their chairs are like airplane, cars and horses as I recall. Kids watch their favorits videos while getting hair cut. They also have a play gym inside of the store.

The hairstylists are very good at cutting kids hair. (If you ever try to cut small kids' hair by yourself, you know what I mean;) Make sure you get a stamp card when you go there. I think you can get a free hair cut when you have enough stamps.

I have taken my son to this Cookie Cutters a few times. Price is about $15 for a kid's haircut. I believe they also can cut adult's hair. There is a playground inside of the store, and my son loves it. Also, kids sit on the chairs look
