There is an older woman in the one year old room who should be fired. She is awful! Scary that she is still there. \r

My one year old has moved and the teachers in his room are awesome. The teachers in my freshly turned four year olds

First off, I would like to say that the program appears to operate fairly well. The teachers also appear to be great. The problem is that the director is very difficult. My daughter has allergies and sensitive skin which has required

My daughter has been attending LTP North for almost a year as a toddler. I drop in daily to spend time with her and have observed the kind and loving care she and the other children receive from their teachers. The teacher's are well qualified and patient - when there is a floater teacher they are just as nice, creative, and competent. My 18 month old washes her own hands at their little sink - turning off and on the water and rubbing her hands together. She also comes home with new vocabulary almost daily, is learning concepts like Up and Down, knows several letters by sight, and loves their selection of books. I'm always bringing home her artwork that I would never have thought she could handle. My daughter is a good eater and knows sign language and can say "more" so when she likes a particular food at lunch the teachers give her more when she asks. The lunch and snack menus are nutritious and tasty - there is a good food variety, the chef makes the food from scratch and does catering on the side. My husband has alot of experience in the restaurant business and was impressed with their kitchen and the chef. I recommend LTP North and involving yourself as a parent even once a week. The teachers keep to a schedule, manage diaper changing effectively, allow creative and structured play, provide storytime/circle time, and give lots of love, encouragement, and smiles.

Pros: Caring Teachers (Primary and Backup), Fun Activities, Nutritious Food, Location

Cons: None.

Not recommended due to poor quality of care.If you love your child, dont send them to learning time. My child incurred weekly injuries from having his eyes applied with sunscreen lotion suffering for many hours, secondly, had his finger nails chipped about 50% without reporting it to us. They wont tell you not unless you demand for an explanation & they would point at different teachers to explain. And Majorly, my toddler got his tooth knocked out from the playground due to their neglect..not paying too much attention on whats going on. My child underwent a traumatic experience not being able to eat affecting his nutritional status & leading him to have his tooth extracted & developed infection prior to extraction. it was a domino effect.
The facility just looks nice because of their MATERIALS and location but what matters most should be the employees and staff loving their duties and responsibilities..and not just coming to work for money.
If you are sending a child in this facility make sure your child is old enough to report whats going on inside.
Dont be fooled by their image & activities..they do not vaue our child's safety & also Nutrition (I heard most toddlers lost weight too cuz they dont give enough time for them to finish their food.

I have worked at a few different childcare centers and none of them even compare to Learning Time. I wored at the location in Geist and the Zionsville location and I could not have been happier. They trained us for every situation possible. I felt very well prepared to handle any situation that came my way. I feel that I am much more equipped to be a mother now that I have learned the cutting edge methods of discipline, unique learning styles, sanitary and safety habits, and much more. I was able to help write cirriculum and they took my advice when I suggested ways to improve things in the center. I grew very close to my fellow employees, but especially to the children and the families there. I do not work there now, but stay in touch with many people from there and babysit for quite a few families.

I wanted to write this review in rebuttal to the negative one that was written on here. Learning Time has some bad apples, as do all businesses, but the hiring process and supervisory work weeds that out efficiently and effectively. I worked there for years and years and never experienced anything like what was mentioned in the other review. I have seen people fired for much less than what was mentioned. Now, I have never wored at the North location, but I can speak for Learning Times owner and for the other two locations and say that this was the best work experience of my life and I would recommend working there to anyone! I would also send my child there for sure! No question. This is a great childcare facility.

Pros: Creative Activities, Inviting Atmosphere, Friendly and Professional Staff, Safe and Sanitary Environment for Children

Cons: The pay could be better, but for a childcare facility it is average. It was worth the experience though!

As a former employee of learning time (North), I would not recommend it. I once reported a staff employee 6 times for abusing children before she was fired. I cleaned up children playing in their own urine because the other employees were busy socializing. The building was so dirty that I would have an asthma attack every time I went into a certain room because the carpet was molding. While working there, an infant found (and swallowed) a teachers medicine in her purse and the parents were never notified. The turnover rate is so high that they will hire just about anyone in order to fill in gaps, and sometimes they have to call people from other schools in to work because they don't have enough staff. Most of the people who work at learning time will not enroll their own children in the center. I don't blame them. It may look like a good center-and they do a lot of lying to parents to make it look that way--but it is not.

Pros: Location?

Cons: Safety of the children, developmentally behind curriculum

Learning Time has been a wonderful place for my daughter to be. She is not only being taken care of, she is learning so much more than I could ever teach her at home. The staff is wonderful, they care about each child, and know you whether or not they have your child in their room. Its like a second home, its warm and friendly, and I highley recommed this school to anyone in need of good childcare.

I absolutely love Learning Time Preschool West. It is an awesome staff of teachers and facilitators that really care about the children. I cannot express in words how much my 2 yr. old has grown and developed since going through their curriculum.
