Vanderburgh Humane Society Spay/Neuter Clinic ROCKS!!!

by Anna L.

I recently had my 4.5 month old puppy neutered, vaccinated, nail-trimmed, and microchipped (and all this for only $100.00!!!) at the Vanderburgh Humane Society's Spay/Neuter Clinic. Not only was the facility spotless, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable. They treated my baby as if he was one of their own. Upon pickup, you couldn't even tell my puppy had been neutered; he was playful and happy! I would HIGHLY recommend these services to anyone. In addition to great prices through their clinic (especially compared to the community vets!!!), they also offer many other needed services to the community such as adoptions of homeless animals, education programs for schools, nursing home therapy with animals, and a volunteer program (which I am signing my whole family up for)! Thank you VHS for all that you did for my baby and for the animals and the people of our community! Keep up the great work!

Vanderburgh Humane Society

by Lil R.

Is horrible!!!! I took my dog in to get neutered and they clipped his nails as well... When I went to pick him up his nails where bleeding from the quick and from where they connected to his paw!!! Poor baby was so sore, his incision was poorly closed and he looked like they ruffed him up pretty good. The people there were extremely rude and didn't show that they cared at all for the animals... I will never take my animals to VHS again!!!
Another Thing about VHS is they always state that they have to put all these animals to sleep because no one is adopting, they want you to pay around $150 for a cat!!! Now how can anyone afford that?!?

Nice new Facillity

by John N. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 8,338

They have built a very nice new building to house the animals and keep it as clean as you can expect with that many animals in one place. They are great with the animals and the adoptions are very reasonable. They are also very community oriented with many events, ads on tv and other things to inform the public about the importance of spaying and neutering pets.

Help for the animals..

by Jennifer S. | insider Insider | Rank: 29,636

Every place has good and bad. It would be nice to be able to save every animal, but there are not enough homes to take them all in. VHS is commited to helping those they can, and at prices most people can afford. They work hard on informing the public the immportance of spaying and neutering your pets. Why buy when you can adopt?
