Carmacks has the best selection of pipes and pipe tobacco I have found in any other shoppe around. Their selection of cigars was also extensive. This is only a small portion of the greatness of carmacks, though. The 2 best things are VERY resonable prices, and a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Couldn't ask for a better place

I really like the selection they have, but it is a selection I can find in many places in the Indianapolis area ($10-$20 cigar selection).\n\nWhat I did not like is when I walked in, I was NEVER greeted nor was I spoken to until I was buying. The owner was selling to me. I bought a humidor and although I told him this was my first one, he didn't state how to season it or recommend the solutions (although I already knew how).\n\nFurthermore, their house cigars (Maduro's) were $20 (half price since I bought the humidor). They are aweful. They do not burn evenly; they go out within 45 seconds if you do not draw; and it has that ""squishy"" feeling only 25% into it. I did put into humidor on 70/70 and it did not help. Drying out didn't help either, so I am assuming that it was poorly filled. I did smoke four before I gave up and realized that although I only paid .80 each, the cigars from Walgreens is better. I will pay $120 for my Onyx and Romeo Y Julietas before I pay $20 for theirs.\n

Pros: Great Selection

Cons: Never was greeted or spoke to by owner other than POS.

This shop has it all, from Opus X to the budget bundles and the price can not be beat. When other shops in the area are marking up the "hot" cigars Carmack's keeps the price reasonable. Great job guys keep up the good work.

I went to this shop in search of a gift of cigars for my husband. Since I do not smoke, I know nothing of cigars. The salesman was very helpful and not at all pushy. He was considerate of my minimal knowledge of cigars and of my limited funds and helped me choose a cigar my husband enjoyed. The salesman also gave me brief explainations of cigars, cigarmaking and why pricing varies so much. He showed me the walk-in humidor and the higher priced and interesting "specialty" cigars. It was very interesting, even for someone who's not so interested in cigars. There is also a comfortable smoking area where customers and sit and enjoy their cigars in-store. The store also has a great air filtration system to minimize leaving smelling like a walking cigar.

PROS: Very helpful and knowledge able salesmen
CONS:
