Like "Nancy" I too had issues, but they were my fault. I fell behind on my rent and I to received a certified letter asking that I pay within 30 days or make arrangements with the office.
I called the office and explained my situation and they were more than pleasant and happy to work with me. I got caught up and still rent with them. They have been nothing but kind and professional with me.
Nancy...people react on other people's reactions... try being polite...it goes a long way....

My elderly mother and I shared 2 units at BSK which I paid the rent on and checked on. I had to close one and gave notice Jan.7, as I was having some financial problems. I asked on Jan.28 to have the unit checked since I got it all emptied out and cleaned. It had to be done by Jan.31. The man who works there would not sign a note that it was empty and clean, and did not check it; I took my girlfriend as a witness and took photos of it. I was cautious as I have been "ripped off" many times for other things. Also, I had been late for a payment (FIRST TIME) and they added on a late fee, overlock fee, and pre eviction fee. I explained my situation and they were not very nice. They were new people who I had not dealt with before.
I asked for my deposit back and I was told I would have to wait for the security deposit until the end of the month (February). I told the man and the female manager I wanted my deposit back (I did raise my voice)and was given the run around. I then got a letter that they were evicting my mother from the other unit (paid until the end of Feb. ) I called and spoke to the manager (?) and she said I was rude and hung up on me. I called back - she did not answer - I left a message that she was the rude one and how sad she could not talk with me like an adult. I could not make out her name on the eviction letter - she scribbled it. I do not know the name of the owner or if the business changed hands; but when I rented the first unit nearly 3 yrs. ago, the service was excellent - these are new people. I have cancer and am low on funds; I do not know how I am going to empty the second unit and how I can pay for movers. Is this usual that I have to wait for more than a month for my money? And is it usual to evict someone for what they deem rudeness?

Immaculate room - I chose the climate controlled room, which I was very pleased with, for the little extra money. My parents had also used this business's storage facility when they moved from out-of-state and were very pleased also. It is located right off of Route 30 and they almost always have something available for whatever your choice is, because they are very large. I won't say what the owner used to do for a living, but I wouldn't worry too much about the security here, either.
