The Childrens Museum

I can't believe the admission here was so cheap! The exhibits are amazing, especially the dinosphere! I love the attention to detail they take in explaining things to the children, it's not over their heads, but not dumbed down either! The glass exhibit was really amazing. My one complaint is the little mirror funhouse thing. We lost the kid we were watching, he was able to crawl out away from us, and we had NO warning that the hole went back out into the hall. I think that we have way too many tales of kids getting lost or kidnapped for this to be acceptable in the play area.
The food court area is decently priced...the train station exhibit is very unique also. There is just so much to do here, you have to visit a couple of times!

This is the BEST museum we have ever been to. The kids LOVE it and beg to go back. We bought a membership and would rec. doing that to anyone who lives in the area.

This is an excellent museum to belong to if you have small children. The variety of exhibits and programs is terrific. Our favorite spot (for my preschooler) is the Playscape area. She can play there for hours. They also do stories and finger plays during the day which she loves to participate in. There really is something for every child at this museum.

PROS: Great exhibits, activities
CONS: Expensive on a per visit cost - membership is great value

This is probably the best attraction for children. It is actually not too big, but there is so much for children to do here. They have lots of great exhibits that are not only interactive, but ones the children can touch and play with. The kids always enjoy a trip to this museum and it makes for a good passtime for them because not only is it fun, but they are learning at the same time!A great place for babies and adults and everyone in between.

We have four young children and have enjoyed taking them to the Children's Museum of years. They love the regular exhibits as well as the travelling ones. For children under 6 years, they offer Playscapes, a fun environment for young children. It has a water table and sand area that are sure to be a hit. Since Dinosphere opened, that's one of our new favorite spots. Donosaurs and their mysteries appeal to children of all ages. The cost of the museum is certainly within reason. As there are 6 of us, we find it most cost effective to buy a family pass + 2, so we can take grandma and grandpa.
