I and several of my co-workers went to Bosphorus today for a business lunch. Several tables were seated after us and served first. We waited at least 15-20 minutes to order drinks and at least 10 minutes, if not more before we were served

This was my first visit. My cousin, sister and I had talked about going there for some time.\r
The decor was pleasing, but the seating was cramped.\r
We were seated by the side door, whose fringed curtain kept finding its way in my hair.

This is my favorite restaurant in Indy. I have visited Istanbul several times, and this is an excellent alternative to a long trip! The servings are large and very reasonably priced. The restaurant is in a historic house that adds to the incredible ambiance of the entire dining experience, and the service is top-rate. In fact, the owner usually stops by to chat at your table. It's sad that one other review that is totally off the mark can lower the average rating enough to make the # stars for the restaurant totally useless. I can only imagine that the wildly negative review was an attempt at sabotage by the competition, because everything in it was contrary to reality. It's too bad that you can't remove the bogus reviews.

I absolutely adore this place. It is charmingly decorated with a great attention to detail. The wood floors and walls are intricately stenciled and the colors are very warm and inviting. On top of a a great atmosphere, the food is wonderful! Their hummus is to die for, and their grilled pita is delicious. It has ruined me for any other hummus. The owner of the restaurant is very welcoming and funny. I used to live right up the road and he'd send me home with rice pudding (sooo good!) in an actual dish, which I would wash and return later. He even offered to teach me how to make one of my favorite recipes. I miss being able to get take out whenever I wish! My only only minor complaint is, if you go when it's not very busy, sometimes it's a little too quiet and I feel like I need to whisper. But, this is hands down my favorite restaurant in Indy! Highly recommended!

Bosphorus is one of our favorite Indianapolis restaurants. If you enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine you won't be dissapointed. Housed in a quaint victorian house the friendly atmosphere is an indication of the great service that you will receive. We celebrated my wife's birthday there and they went over the top in making sure it was a special occaision. The food is great too. For your first visit I would recommend the Bosphorus special which gives you a sampling of all their meats. Also they have some of the best hummus I have eaten. We love Bosphorus and would recommend it to anyone!

The Bosphorus restaurant has some of the best food I have ever eaten. It is a moderately priced restaurant, and they give you the biggest portions I have ever seen. It is Turkish cuisine - a must if you like savory meats and sauces. The waitstaff is pleasant, and they bring you the food very quickly. The appetizer bread is to DIE FOR. The quality and quantity of the food they give you at Bosphorus is WELL worth the price of the food.

PROS: EXCELLENT Turkish cuisine, great value for $$
CONS:
