Known for their fish and chips and yummy Irish brew. You won't expect to find dancing Irishmen at the bar, but you will get loaded with an ale and some yummy cabbage stew.

I have been to Claddagh's by myself and have been very satisfied. So satisfied, that I decided to bring a group of friends to meet and eat on a Sunday afternoon. When we began to show up and request seating together, we were instantly made to feel unwelcome. Our waiter was rude, obnoxious, and highly unprofessional, as was the woman who sat us. One of our servers wanted to get into an argument over an order he got wrong (it was a child's plate, for goodness sake!!!). Yes, the food is good, the atmosphere is lovely, but THIS Claddagh's on 96th Street is just TERRIBLE when it comes to service, especially with parties larger than 10. And no, we were not obnoxious or rude (nor were any of us drunk). Believe me, it was embarrassing.

Pros: Good food, nice ambiance

We had some waiter who had a real chip on his shoulders and made our visit really a waste. He was cocky, screwed up our order, then wanted to get into an argument that it was our fault. He even went on about how he was a grad student, as if that was supposed to impress us. What a loser, what a stupid place to eat. No wonder this place is almost always empty.
