This is one of my favorite restaurants in Indianapolis. The food is always good, and it is a family friendly atmosphere. My husband and I always order an Around the World Pizza, and an order of garlic bread with sauce. The pizza is a very thin crust, and I've never tasted another one like this at any restaurant. The antipasta salad is also very good. Be prepared to wait on a Friday or Saturday night.

This is hands down my favorite Italian restaurant in Indianapolis. The dining room is very casual and inviting, it's very unique (in a good way). The food is absolutely amazing. I get their spinach ravioli most often and my boyfriend has sampled most of the menu (he never has any complaints!). Their homemade tiramisu is divine. Their homemade blue cheese salad dressing is also delicious. The bread they bring out prior to the meal is surprisingly bad, as compared to rest of the menu, but it's no prediction of the things to come, don't worry!

One thing, don't come here if you're in a rush. The food generally takes a little while and you should reserve at least an hour and a half for your meal. The staff is friendly and provide wonderful service. I saw Larry Bird there once (and he was trashed!)

This is the place to go, in Indianapolis, if you want real authentic Italian cuisine. It's like going into an italian kitchen for dinner. Take your friends for a delicious experience.

This was my first visit - although the inside ambiance was inviting, we chose to sit outside. The outside seating area is definitely nothing special, although there is a nice view of downtown. The full meals come with soup, salad, bread and the entree. You can also order the entree alone. My boyfriend loves this place because it is one of the few places in town where you can get meat ravioli. I ordered the tortellini, which I thought was excellent. Our server was friendly and efficient. We spent approx $35-40, and that was drinking water only so it is not a cheap place, but definitely worth it if you are wanting a non-chain experience.

Well..here is my first review!

I have heard some good things about this downtown Italian restaurant so I finally tried it out. Upon arrival, I was disappointed in the atmosphere...both inside and out. However, it did have more of an authentic italian feel than most restaurants, so if you appreciate that...this would be a great place for you. The service was very good and helpful throughout the entire night.

I got the baked penne with the bolognese sauce. It is a lot of food so you can definetely split with someone. It was pretty good but I would choose another sauce next time because I didn't care for all of the meat. The people I went with got the spinach ravioli and they loved it! Overall, it was a positive experience. The food was good but I don't think I will make the drive from the northside to eat at Iaria's Italian Restaurant again.

When I first visited Iaria's 17 years ago it was by accident. Thank goodness because I discovered the best Italian food in Indianapolis. This family owned restaurant has pictures upon entry of all of the celebrities/Indianapolis heros to visit the establishment. All menu items are phenominal and the Blue Cheese dressing is so thick a spoon will stay in the dish when turned upside down. If you are in Indianapolis, you will be missing out by not stopping by Iaria's.

When you get great food AND atmosphere, you just keep coming back, which is the key to Iaria's success. The regulars are always happy, and newbees are always glad to find a new place to get real Italian food. The BEST in Indy.

Yes, Iaria's is by what all others are compared to. As long as you have been fortunate enough to know of this old neighborhood best. A very comfortable place focussed on a few meals done very well. Not a big menu but you will still have trouble on what to order! Plenty of all that is ordered including the great service. Home spun flavor on old-world recipes honed by the wonderful kichen in this unassuming location. Find it, make the wrong turns 'cause it is just one more block to a great meal. GO, GOOOO!!!!
