I love this store. It's a little too big now but most people love that too. It is very well organized and easy to get even the bulkiest carts through. Warning: You will spend a lot of money every time you come here. BUT, you will get a lot for you money. I enjoy stocking up. Not everything is a great deal--but most things are at least comparable and some are amazing deals.

As a new Sams Club shopper I have already had a few bad experiences. First time I stopped in to get a membership, it was near closing (maybe 30 minutes away). After getting my membership my friend and I were walking around. I was looking at lap top computers and their was an employe, an older gentleman, standing there literally sighing as if I were not supossed to be looking at the laptops. Then he comes over to us and he says in a rude tone "we are closing". Needless to say my first experience there wasn't a pleasant one, as I didn't feel welcome at all! About 2 weeks ago I went back in, the experience was better, however the cashier was extremely rude! Last week I was in to get some things for work and I had an overall good experience. So I guess maybe when I go back the 4th time I'll have another good experience. Prices are great, if they could only get better service!

I love going to Sam's Club Wholesale Club. My husband and I buy all of our pool chemicals at Sam's Club because the prices are so much better than what we can get anywhere else. The bulk containers allow us to make fewer trips during the year and save money. We enjoy having a chance to sample the different foods that are available from time to time in frozen foods area.

Sam's Club is a nice place to shop for items in bulk, but prices are just average. This wholesale club is massively huge, carries an overwhelming variety of items and can be a bit intimidating for the occasional or new shopper. The bakery section offers many delightful items. We also enjoy the bulk options on laundry supplies, paper and dry goods.

I have to admit, I've never understood the allure of Sam's Club. I do use lots of coupons, so maybe I'm unusual, but I can never find much of a deal at Sam's - particularly after you factor in the $35 membership fee. Prices to me are just okay. The things I do like about Sam's are the free samples they give out (you can take the kids at lunchtime and make a meal of it!). They give the kids big, generous cookies at the bakery. Also, they do have great film developing prices and I've found a few items that truly are bargains - for instance, yeast. I'm considering using their optical dept. for my daughter, who needs glasses.

PROS: free samples, a few "deals"
CONS: many items aren't really "deals", $35 fee to be a member
