Alsip Home & Nursery

I love Alsip Home & Nursery!! Our family gets together at our moms who lives in Cedar Lake, IN some of us drive over an hour. This store has the most unique items, you have to go to the store for your favorite season or holiday. They have the most unique items for holidays and displays are wounderful. Christmas is a must, beautiful ornaments and great ideas. Flowers (spring and fall)are beautiful and they have plants I have never seen before. I find they have several price ranges and they have something for everyone. Everytime I go to this store (at least 3 times a year for the last 8 years) I find something that I MUST have!

It's way to pricey for everyday use. It's a garden center, it's a gift shop, it's a home accessory store, and it's a pet shop! It is too much. As for the garden center - good offerings on pretty standard stuff. Very pricey and they don't guarantee anything. You know if you buy at K-Mart & the plant dies they give you a replacement or your money back, not here! Buyer beware. No guarantee of any kind. I found out the hard way. I purchased a burning bush that didn't live three weeks. I tried to return/replace it to no avail. To top it all off the poor little puppies smell bad.
