Peales

With big dressing windows in front sporting mannequins with sparkling dance outfits and leotards next to an amazingly real looking chastity belt, Peale's has a lot to offer for dressing up for any reason. The staff is very helpful and you get a lot of personal attention. I have been going to this shop for over twenty years, not because of the price for sure, but because I just like the feel and allure of it and the wide variety of fabric I can find here.

Peale's is a mom-and-pop shop that is stuffed full of fabrics and dancewear ... leotards, tights, tap shoes, ballet shoes, gymnastics shoes, etc. They also have a wide array of costumes. When I say "stuffed full" I mean "stuffed full." Don't try to take a stroller into the store ... it is impossible! The fabrics are the types of fabrics used for dance costumes ... so if you need to alter a costume, you go to Peale's to get the type of fabric you need. I love the attention you receive at Peale's ... they treat the customers so well. The prices on the shoes are a bit steep, but the customer service is top-notch. I would recommend Peale's for any and all of your dance needs. If they don't have something, they can help you find it.

You will fall in love with this small, family owned shop.
They have dancing supplies, including shoes & leotards, costumes.

They are willing to help you find what you need and they never act like they are going out of their way.

Storefront parking; street parking.

Hours are mostly weekday & weekend, no real night hours.

But you will fall in love with their old world style.
Actually,they are a breath of fresh air.
Definitely recommeded for all your dance needs.
