This is THE place to get a frosty mug of homemade rootbeer and a basket of onion rings! My personal favorite is the pizza burger with all the fixings. With the old school car hops and lights on for service, it really reminds me of a

Pros: Root Beer, Onion Rings, all the food

This is the best drive-in in town. Service has always been good and food is good. A must go to drive-in restuarant.

This is my first message. I am origianlly from Speedway and was a car hop (earrly and mid 60's) for the Mug n Bun when owned by Morris May and my dad owned the gas station across the street, now known as the tobacco road (gas pumps that

Great restaurant for the whole family! The best root beer I've ever had, and extremely nice and friendly owner and workers. Although I'm not from the area, I would go back just for this restaurant.

I don't know what people are smoking before the eat their pizza, but all the other places are terrible compared to Mug N Bun. Moved away to Northwest Indiana and have been trying for a year and half to find pizza half as good as Mug N Bun. Last year at the Brickyard, I ordered one and picked it up and took it back to the campground!

Talk about a GREAT reason to get heartburn!

This original drive in still has the girls that come out to your car to take your order. (Or if you want to eat at a picnic table, they have those too, even with heaters nearby!)

The BEST thing there is their root beer. You can get it in a plastic glass, or in a real glass frosted mug, OR even by the gallon. It's incredible and worth the drive!

They also have incredible tenderloins that are super big and tasty. They fried mushrooms, great fries, homemade hamburgers, malts, shakes... fish, shrimp, hush puppies, just about anything you can think of that's quick and mostly fried. They also have pizza and chicken. The hardest thing to do there, is to narrow the menu down to what you want to eat that meal!

One of a handful of original drive-in restaurants in the area, Mug-n-Bun continues to hang trays of burgers and fries on customers' car windows at this squat cement block building. Mug-n-Bun has nothing to do with all…
