Droste's Jewelry Shoppe

After purchasing a bracelet at Drostes, for my wife, it was damaged after it fell off her wrist 10 months later. When I took it back to Drostes on First Avenue to get it repaired, the old lady at the counter told me that I should just buy a new one. I asked if they could just order a couple of links to repair this one, she said "No, I would just polish it up and wear it". I told her that it did not look very good and that the damaged link actually twisted the bracelet. She then said "well, everyone has their own opinion". She is right about that, Drostes does not have jewelers, or want to help their customers after the sale........Mr. Droste, don't ever question again, why we buy things at Sam's vs. the local shops? We may not get any better service at Sam's, but at least the quality is there for a lower price.

Drostes gave me a detailed appraisal at a great price and awesome value! Their Certified Gemologist had the experience needed to give me a great appraisal on my jewelry!!! I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for jewelry...young and old!!!!

We shopped here for engagement rings, but we put off right away by the prices. All of their merchandise was out of the price range we were trying to stay in. They also seemed to be understaffed while we were there, although the person who finally helped us was very friendly. They had a decent selection of jewelry, but we would not go back because of the prices.

Don't go to Droste's for an appraisal... My wife did, and they just wrote down word-for-word what she told them about the stone, signed it, and charged her an appraisal fee. Very disappointing!
