overpriced, unorganized, late. \r
My son drove a gold ball thru our living room window. So I called them in support of local business, I guess I should have shopped around as I paid out $300 for a window that I later found out would have cost me around $125 from every other glass repair/replacement store. Clearly this business is not ran by the previous owner. The store front looks to be just that a front and aftter visiting the shop it seems as though they will soon be closing their doors or at least moving to a smaller location as the space was stacked with what appeared storage for other businesses. Just because a shop has been around for a 'long time' does not necessarly translate to a good business as their overhead is likely minimal and they are simply able to to keep it going due to lack of employees. Will not ever call them again.
I recently had to have some double pane insulated windows replaced in my home , I can remeber as a child my grandfather taking me to Stein Glass Company for all his glass needs,so when it came time for me to replace my windows, I called Stein Glass Company and they was Johnny-On-the-Spot.They was really caring and wanted to provide the work that I wanted them to do,they where on time, very honest people, they did the job in a professional and timely manner and the cost was cheaper then the other glass companies I called for quotes.I feel like Stein Glass has been in business for 70 years for a very good reason.I would recommand anyone to use this glass company for all your glass needs.
Pros: Really down to earth people working there
If there was a zero-star rating, that is what I would choose. They were unorganized and dishonest. They couldn't give me a quote until the repair person's truck happened to be in the office parking lot at the same time I called (they keep their paperwork in the truck; not a computer). After 3 weeks of waiting, I was told the window and screens would arrive the following week. I made arrangements (or so I thought) for them to CALL before they attempted to install the window; they did not call. They went to the property without any notification, which triggered the burglar alarm and dispatched the sheriff. I called and asked if they were installing a window - the person in the office said someone had gone to install the window, but that this person didn't trigger the alarm. When my husband called them back to get details for the sheriff, this company admitted to triggering the alarm and then lying about it. It took almost one full month to get a repair. Use them at your own risk.
