Ratings_icons Watermans is a great place

I have worked with The Watermans for several years and they take pride in the hard work to make it all happen. Quality and consistency is present with every purchase. The October fest, it is AMAZING how it all comes together. Truly, a job that I enjoy.

Ratings_icons Incredible U-pick Fruits and Vegetables

This farm is a family farm and keeps up its reputation. The food is less expensive than at some places as many of the items that are available are U-pick. It gives you a chance to bond with your children and show them how food is really made. That it doesn't just come from the store.

They also have an incredible October, with their Halloween Festival. There is a corn maze as well as a ferris wheel to let you see it from the air. Simply amazing.

Ratings_icons Waterman's -- Pumpkin Patch

B M. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 10,081

Waterman's Farm is a great place to take your children to "pick" a pumpkin. You can either purchase your pumpkin in the marketplace or take a hayride out to the "patch." The cost of the hayride is $4 ... this also includes several other activities for your children such as a corn maze or hay maze or ferris wheel ride. Once you get on the hayride, you are taken out to the field. The pumpkins have already been picked ... there are several hundred laying around the field for you to choose from. Small ones, large ones, medium ones. Once you pick your pumpkin(s) you get back on the hayride and are taken back to the mainland to purchase your pumpkins. The cost is $0.29 per pound. It's really not too bad and is a great experience for the little ones. I wouldn't recommend going unless you have time to enjoy all of the festivities. I took my daughter, not realizing all of the "fun" that could be had ... I hadn't planned on staying that long so we paid $4 to just ride the hayride and then pay for our pumpkins, too. That's kind of a rip-off, but if you do all of the activities that are offered, it is really a great deal and lots of fun, too!
