Tornatta Tire-East

Tornatta Tire helped me a lot and what I like is that I was not pushed into buying something that is not needed. My car now drives like a new one with a new set of Harmony Michelin tires and new front brake pads. Everyone is very professional and courteous. A very good experience and I am a satisfied customer who will return again.

We purchased a new Toyota van with the 'run flat' tires and just over a year later and at 19,000mi's noticed that they appeared to have very low tread depth left. I asked Troy Tornatta of Tornatta Tires-West to take a look at them and he pointed out that the cord was becoming visible on the one tire. I contacted the Kenny Kent Toyota's service dept and was told we were lucky to have been able to get over 17,000mi's and this was typical for the 'run flat' tires. I said that was ridiculous, good tires should last 2-3 times this. They smugly told me that they would have to replace the tires with 'run flat' tires because they were the only tire that could be put back on and that they were the only authorized company to replace them. They then quoted me a price that was over 1.5 times the cost of a standard set of tires.
Angered by this attitude, the cost and the poor wear of the tires, I asked Troy if they could put a good set of regular tires on the van. They thought they could although the tire pressure monitoring system would not function. I agreed and with at least a bit of extra work, were indeed able to put on regular tires. Over the years, I have found that Tornatta Tire is helpful and reasonably priced.

My husband went to the Morgan Ave location to get his right cv boot replaced on Tornatta's recommendation. We told them we would come back in two weeks to get it repaired. When we went back they had not ordered the part & would be another week before the part was in. That same day we had asked for Tornatta to fix the wiper arm as well. They said they had fixed that problem & wouldn't charge us until they replaced the cv boot. While we were waiting for the week to be up, a bad storm came & made us realize they had never fixed that wiper arm. We went back to the store & told Tornatta we didn't want to be charged for something that wasn't fixed. They agreed to that & went about replacing the cv boot. Two weeks later we went to another tire repair place to get new tires because we were upset by Tornatta's failure to fix the wiper problem. While we were at the new shop, they told us the right-side tie-rod end needed to be replaced. I asked the new people if Tornatta should have been able to see this when they replaced the cv boot. The new people said, "Yes, they should have been able to because all they had to do was lift up the car."

Unless I have an absolute emergency and there is no place less to go, I will NOT be going back to Tornatta Tire. They endangered my husband's life twice by not fixing the wiper arm and not telling us about the tie-rod end.

I had to get an emergency replacement tire after a blowout near their store and figured it was going to be expensive. I was very surprised. They got me right in and gave me a great deal on a tire. They worked me in quickly to get the tire put on and I was on my way. I have returned with my wife's car and had hers replaced here and got the same great treatment.

I had a nail in my tire and this was the closest place. I probably wouldn't have stopped there otherwise as it looks a little rundown. The people there were so nice and helpful! They got my tire fixed quickly at a good price. I was very pleased!
