I worked for the rural inn twice and as the neighborhood is less than savory, I will be the first to tell you that the owner is the best man a person could know as well as the best boss a person could hope to have. He can't help the neighborhood that his establishment is in, neither can he help the addicts that run the streets, that is a police problem, maybe they should do their job and keep them from loitering where they shouldn't be.

While the rural inn might seem like nice place to visit due to its proximity to downtown Indianapolis, it is best to steer clear of this Indianapolis classic. During a recent run for beer, my wife and I were both played like a violin. In concert, the clerks and management bilked us on a portion of our keg-related deposit. Pay close attention to your receipts as well as the cash in your pocket. One of the female managers is especially clever to snake a few of your hard earned dollars (likely to support some underlying addiction of her own). In short, if you can avoid the rural inn, it is certainly wise to do so. If you can't, proceed with caution!!
