Papa Joe's Junior

I have been going to Papa Joe's since I was a kid. I use to go with my mom and grandmother to the original every other weekend. In high school my best friend and I would eat in Avon at the new one because it was cheap! We could both eat for 20 bucks. I love that their meals still include salads. Their work salad with creamy garlic dressing is the BEST! My family still does take out from time to time. Just a great place with lots of memories.

The food is consistently good here. It has a nice atmosphere, and is family friendly. My favorite is the Works salad, which has diced cheese, ham, turkey etc. on it. We have also gotten the lasagna, pasta, and mozzarella sticks. There is also a nice selection of deserts. It's worth the drive from Indianapolis. In fact, we would drive from the far east side of Indy (New Palestine) to eat here.

This restaurant is more elegant, more stylish, and the food was more delicious than I expected. It is convenienty located right off of Dan Jones Road in Avon. Give it a try!

I've eaten here at Papa Joe's about 3 times (and EVEN ate at the original Papa Joe's that used to be on Lafayette Rd.) and each time it has been AWESOME!!!! The decor is neat in itself (especially back in the bar area), you feel like you're starring as a stand-in for a Godfather sequel! Perfect decor for an Italian restaurant, IMO.

The service is very good, and the prices are very reasonable, which blows my mind considering how wonderful all the entrees are! Try the Lasagna-- you'll not be disappointed....

I've ate at Italian restaurants that cost twice as much as Papa Joe's and are half as good in Indy. I guess that shows you that if you have a good set of recipies, it can literally carry a local restaurant. For the price, ambiance, and food quality Papa Joe's is the best restaurant in Avon and could be the best Italian found on Indy's expanded west side....
