Ratings_icons A great part of the Bloomington experience!

I love to go to the Vid early in the evening and drink a pitcher with my husband - it's a very friendly and laid-back atmosphere. Mike the door guy is a regular fixture and I have NEVER known him to not be there. The bar staff are friendly and efficient, and the prices are great! Well, not if you include the $15 Hot Pockets, but I think they have to serve some kind of food in order to retain a liquor license, and don't actually expect to sell them. I recommend you eat BEFORE you go. if you don't want a drunken sorority girl dancing/falling off of the table next to you before the night is over, this is the place to go. There are also video golf, darts, pool and good company - what more could you want!

Ratings_icons My favorite watering hole

This is a drinking man's (woman's) bar. It's a place where townies and students can peacefully coexist and if not Mike will throw you down the stairs on your noggin. Just kidding, but seriously- the staff doesn't miss a beat- if you are an obnoxious douchebag or a drunk who is way past his/her limit you will be asked once to leave. Do not let there be a second time.

If you are a fun-loving spirit who knows where to get a good drink and meetup with cool people- you will end up here. It is an excellent value, good stiff drinks that are not overpriced or watered down. You can get everything from PBR to fancy foo foo drinks and Saki. It's no frills, so you won't find little crappy umbrellas in your tiki glass- but you will be pleased.

Plenty of pool tables and dartboards and rooms with different volume levels. It would be nice if they accepted debit/credit cards, but no dice. They do have an ATM machine, but it's best to plan ahead- bring cash and tip well.
