This is a very good place to have care done for your animals. I have been taking animals to this place for 20 years. I have never had a problem, and if you want the vet to look at something or if you are curious and you have a question they will check your animal out and explain what they are doing and why. I never had a problem with their services. Everyone working there want to be their they do not treat working at that place like a job. People know if the employees are happy then you will get a high quality of treatment. Obviously the staff seem to be happy.

I love this vet clinic and the Doctor.... I take my $1200 chihuahua there and he does a wonderful job!! I guess everyone has their own opinions...but I wouldn't take my dog to anyone else. On top of all of that...he is the cheapest around. I really love it there!!

I have personally volunteered there. I have seen behind the scenes of this vet. Every animal is cared for and helped. Any deaths can not be predicted because no human being has that power so don't blame this vet clinic or any other.... This vet is easy to deal with and cheap. Everything is done right...I have seen everything they do behind the front counter.

Pros: reasonable prices, care
Cons: None

This clinic is a very good clinic for routine care. The vet is compassionate and caring but doesn't force unnecessary tests and procedures for minor illnesses and injuries. His prices are well below standard for the area and the staff is always friendly.

The negatives are few, but important. This office is wonderful for routine exams, shots, and spay and neuter surgeries. Unfortunately, people have come to expect human ER standards of care for their pets and don't always understand that with the low prices comes a reduction of care.

In other vet offices, the cost of a spay surgery can easily be more than $100. Much more if you a female pet who is pregnant or in heat. That typically covers several hours of aftercare, more for the convenience of the owners than for the health of the animals, including the staff dealing with the nasty effects of anesthesia, the general shock and dismay of their pet when they begin to wake up, and the other minor, but temporary, ickiness that follows such a procedure.

That means that pet owners must be willing to be dilligent and provide the aftercare themselves. While the vet charges fair prices for fair services, it's important to understand that with those fair services, the extras aren't the norm. The owner can't expect to drop Skippy off to be neutered and pick him up again in the same basic condition and giddy mood he normally exhibits. The basic care is what makes this vet office so affordable and is essential to allow those with limited means to have healthy, happy pets, but you get what you pay for.

The prices are amazingly low and the care is basic, but compassionate and reasonable, under the circumstances. Though wonderful for basic care, my pets are taken to a more state-of-the-art facility for anything beyond a minor injury or illness and I, personally, wouldn't choose this facility for any type of surgical procedure or for treatment for a serious illness, such as cancer. They are definitely a safe option, however, when budget is stretched.

I took my cat there to have surgery on his ear on friday 12/11/2009. I was told to pick him up between 2 and 5 pm. When I picked him up, i was told that he was still out of it from the anestesia and that it was normal. I took him out to the car, his eyes were fixed and his mouth open. I took him back in and said i thought he was dead. One of the girls picked him up and he made a noise and she said he was fine. I took him home (20 minutes away) and he was dead. Unfortunately, it was not the surgery that killed him, but the lack of care after the surgery. The tech that said he was ok is completely heartless as well as the girl who picked him up and said he was fine. I know he was just a cat, but he was my pet and part of our family. i took him there to be helped and they killed him. Rest in Peace, Beau.

I have been going to this vet for atleast 3 years. I have dogs that I breed and raise. He has been always excellent. They have helped me numerous times when one of my Boston's decided at 11 pm or later to go into labor. They even gave one of my dogs a blood transfusion. If your looking for a fancy expensive building to walk into, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for Fantastic, courteous service, and a great vet this is the place for you.

While petting my dog one evening we were horrified to find she had a huge chest injury. We called the vet and he left the choice up to us about when to bring her in ... He stitched her up and cared for her without many unnecessary tests. The prices are awesome as well. Sometimes you have to wait a while at the clinic since he is a farm Vet as well... be patient! I always had to wait at the expensive vets I used to see as well. Dr. Carmine is a very competent and caring man who works very hard to care for his patients.

We have taken our dogs here for years. He is the best vet around and cares about the animals and their owners. The prices are very good as well. I love my dogs as if they were my children and I would not take them anywhere else. He is always there for emergency situations and is very knowledgeable. My dog collapsed yesterday and went into shock. It was a Saturday and I called and left a message and he met us at the clinic. He is a very caring man. He takes wonderful care of our dogs and he is truly outstanding.

I love Albion Vet Clinic. That Doctor is excellent and the staff are very nice and helpful. I am very shocked at the negative reviews. I am more comfortable taking my dogs here than at the Fort Wayne vet.

I live in Ft. Wayne as well as some of the other folks who have written their reviews. I have a Dog and a Cat and take both of my pets to this facility. I was Referred by my aunt and uncle who have all 3 of their horses, 4 cats and 3 dogs to this same vet. The staff is very good with the animals and the people and the prices make the drive well worth it, even when gas was 4$ a gallon. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

It was mid July of 2006 when my dog had her puppies. Suddenly, at about 4:00 in the morning, something happened. Or rather, didn't happen. She was trying to deliver and to no avail. I was terrified because I didn't really have much money and you know how expensive those emergency vet visits can be at 4:00 in the morning. A friend of mine called there and he told us to meet him there. So we did. On the way out of the clinic, he was getting me some oxytocin and I asked what the bill was. He said, "I don't know, I'll have to figure it out. Probably about $60." $60? Do you realize that I couldn't get into the emergency vet in Fort Wayne let alone get them to do anything for that much? We woke him up in the middle of the night and he's not charging any different (or at least not much) than if it was a routine appiontment. Other people I know that use this vet say that they trust him completely. I'm heading there this week to get my Rottweiler looked at. I live in Fort Wayne and have always used Decatur Veterniary Hostpital in Decatur because it's where my Golden Retrievers had always gone to when they were puppies before I got them. They think Kacy has bone cancer, but due to her symptoms and age, I believe Kacy actually has Osteochrondosis Dissecan (say that 10 times fast!). I'm confident that Albion will get to the bottom of this and offer any and all cures/treatments when I take her in this week.

We drive from Bristol, Indiana to Albion just to go to this vet. The vet is very caring and helpful.

We have had a few cats fixed there and take all 6 of our cats there for their vaccinations.

While we've never had to take any of our pets there for anything major, I am confident that they would do a great job if we did have to.

It is a small office with only a few rooms, and there doesn't seem to be anything too "state of the art" about the facility, but the staff really cares and that matters to us.

I recommend them!

We have taken several barn and house cats their to have them fixed. I have also taken my husband's Great Dane in for a couple things. We have never been treated rudely - always with consideration and politeness. We have always been completely comfortable with the care of our animals. They have been accommodating and helpful in making appointments that work for our schedule. They have the fairest prices around. We would never have been able to afford to have our barn cats fixed at Line Street. I have never been disappointed in the atmosphere or the environment. They are busy because they are good; their facility is clean and well managed.

My husband and I took our cat there to be spayed. She was spayed on a Friday and we picked her up Friday afternoon, JUST after the procedure. We brought her home and she couldn't blink or move due to the anesthesia. She wasn't coherent until the next evening. By Sunday she had ripped out her stitches and we were told by the emergency vet (I assume he was a vet?) to bring her in the next day for staples. So we go the next day and the place was full. We didn't mind waiting, but we were there for AN HOUR AND A HALF when people who had come in after us were being seen before us. The ladies at the desk pretty much ignored us. I stood by the desk for 10 mins until I was acknowledged. Then I was told to have a seat. After waiting that long, we were called back. The lady vet was nice and helpful. Yet we were back there for less than 5 mins and she put in 3 staples and we were charged $8. The ladies at the desk were happy to take our money but not to help us. They told us to bring her back in 10 days but were just going to take her to Dr Taylor here in town. He may be more expensive, but its worth it for my cat. Albion vet clinic is rude, dirty and inconsiderate.

absolutly horrible , they do not have equipmant to even do the simplist of blood tests. for example a routine spay you drop your dog off and pick up in 2 hrs . no after care no antibiotics no nothing your on your own. the staff is uncaring and rude. and his surgical procedures look like they have been done in a butcher shop. they stay in business because there prices are 1/4 of any other vet in the area.

PROS: cheap prices
CONS: to many to list
