I would recommend Dr Katz and his hospital to anyone and im truly an animal lover. He preformed an emergency surgery on my dog that was very ill at the time and basically saved her life. I will forever be thankful to him.

I am a new dog owner and wasn't sure where to go when my new puppy, then 13 weeks old, was sick with what appeared to be an urinary infection and continuous gas. I came to this site to find a good vet in my area and came upon the Glen Park Animal Hospital. Not even a day after reading the reviews here I made a phone appointment and was able to see doctor hours laters.

The doctor addressed all my concern and confirmed that my poor puppy did indeed have an urinary infection and was loaded with worms. He gave me a week worth of antibiotics and some worm medication to help my puppy. While I was there he vaccinated my dogs and gave her a rabies shot when I wasn't sure if she was protected already. He also gave me the brand of heart worm and flea medication that would actually work, saving me time and money because I didn't have to use the trial and error method. Once everything was was done, he immediately schedule a follow-up appointment.

I got a real scare when I got home that day and my puppy became very sick. She was vomiting and just didn't look well. I called the doctor and he coached me through the problem and his staff called me back the next day, on a Sunday, to check on my dog. They even called back again to asked how my puppy was doing after they knew I would be giving her the final round of antibiotics. They also called me again to remind me of my follow-up appointment.

Last summer, I had to leave town for two weeks and they boarded my dog at a reasonable price. When I've returned, my puppy was a few pounds lighter, she didn't eat too well because she missed me so much, but was in good health. My mom called the vet everyday during this time and they allowed her to 'talk' to my dog and tell her how my puppy was doing.

Overall, I am more than please with the services that I have been provided. The staff is friendly, patient, and address all the issues I had with this being my first dog and being naive in many areas. The price is fair enough, but the house calls is what really won me over. As things stand now, this vet will be my 911 for my dog and any future dogs that I may have.

The staff at Glen Park Animal Hospital are very caring and wonderful providers. Dr. Katz is awesome. For the last 6 years he has taken care of all 5 of our furkids from toy to large breeds. He saved our boxer's life when he broke from his leash and got hit by a car. We called him very late that night and he met us at the hospital. When we are away on vacation and unable to take the furkids with us, we board them with him. He takes time to get to know his pet patients and the problems they are having and provides several treatment methods best for the breed and pet. He suggest ways to best care of pets during sickness. I also enjoy how on many occasions he personally called to follow up on the furkids after office visits.

I have nothing but good to say about the doctor and staff at Glen Park Animal Hospital. He is the first doctor that took time to SHOW how to take care of a sick/hurting animal. Other vets I have visited 'assume' you know how to give different types/methods of medication. For a new owner of a pet being shown what to do is a great help. Follow up by the staff and doctor was done instead of an attitude of 'well we've already been paid' attitude I received from other vets.

I've taken my pets to numerous vets including Purdue. I would not recommend Dr. Katz to anyone who..He failed to perform the treatment he promised for our dog and charged us for unnecessary testing that the dog just had. When we asked questions he had the receptionist tell us to go somewhere else with our sick dog. He refused to speak to us and abandoned us to our own resources. He is NOT a certified a certified animal dentist. Go to one that is certified not a part-timer..He overcharges, fails to communicate, fails to give definitive diagnosis and in general provides poor veterinary. If you insist on going there ask questions and be aware. He may be ok for flea and tick issues that's about it.

My shihtzu was very sick and she was only ten years old but things were starting to shut down and Dr. Katz and his staff were very caring and I felt that they all really care about the animals and their owners. He reassured me that I was doing all I could for her and it may be time to put her down. When it came time I could not do it my husband and daughter went in and my daughter held her until she went to sleep. A few days later we received a very lovely poem and a card from them and we put it in her puppy book. We having been going there for many years and I am very happy with the service I receive from there. They are very reasonable on pricing but most of all I like how they listen to what you are saying and they do not just get you in and out.
