Central Lutheran School is the Best
by CLS P.
I have nothing but praises to sing about Central Lutheran School. My son dreaded going to preschool but, during the past few years at CLS we have not had that problem. He enjoys going to school. He has made a lot of friends and his teachers make learning fun. He really likes the use of the SMART BOARDs in his classes. He gets to hear a devotion every morning and he can pray out loud at lunch. I like it that he is at a school where he can share his faith with other students and his teachers. I also like it that I can be involved as much as I want to be by helping in the classroom as a room mom or cutting out projects at home, attending field trips, going to Chapel, or stopping by to have lunch with my son. This school really cares about their students.

All around horrible!
by Tim T.
Central is one of the worst schools that I have been involved in. The teachers are horribly strict to a point of misery. My daughter is an excellent student but when she transferred from her old school to central there were major changes in not only hers but the whole family's lives. She comes home crying every night telling me how bad her day went. After about 15 minutes of crying every night we finally start on her homework until about 10 pm every night. All in all, central is a horrible school.

Central Lutheran School is a wonderful school. The teachers truly care about the children (it's not just an 8-2 job for 9 months a year). I have always felt that I can talk to any of my children's teachers about any concerns at any time-even to the point of calling them at home, if necessary. The emphasis is on education, and the staff enforces that emphasis, from kindergarten thru 8th grade. There are opportunities for the children to participate in many extra-cirrcular activities, from sports to band to choir. The school also stresses community service. The kindergarteners participate in religious services at the local nursing home several times during the year, the 6th graders help bag groceries during a grocery store's cancer society fund-raiser. As a parochial school, there are many opportunities for parent involvement-in fact, it's expected!! My husband & I have always felt as though whatever time we contribute is welcomed. If I was looking for a school to send my children to, CLS would be at the top of the list!!!
