The Les Champs Elysees Day Spa & Salon Web site enticed me to visit this salon due to the "experience" some of the beauticians had. In the end I didn't feel like the beautician I was with had specialties at all!
The stylist (Jessica) was friendly but unprofessional. She spent the majority of the time trying to engage others in conversation. She may have had a cold because she kept sniffling and wiping her nose with her hands. She barely took in feedback I gave her of what I wanted. She didn't give me a smock when she washed my hair so the back of my shirt was wet. The receptionist offered me tea, but that was during my hair cut. The stylist didn't offer a place for my tea (she was too busy talking to the people around her) until I asked. Therefore by the time I COULD ask I was sitting there (smock covering my arms and hands) holding the hot tea cup as she was cutting my hair. Eventually my tea cup had hair shavings in it, so I stopped drinking from it.
When the cut was complete, she didn't even ask if I liked it or if I was satisfied with her work. It was more of a trim than a cut, and no one could even tell I had my hair cut. Therefore when they asked me for $45 for this experience I was pretty peeved. I will never return to this salon, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.
I have been to many different salons when the person cutting my hair spoke to other people the entire time, but they at least managed to get feedback on how I wanted my haircut and if I was happy with their work.
