Piece of Cake

I have just found my new favorite cake! Piece of Cake has a fantastic coconut layered cheese cake, two of my favorite flavors. We got the cake for my mothers birthday, it was the talk of our dinner party.

My sister bought the cake for my engagement party from POC and it was awesome! It was half strawberry & half white cake, it was so moist and the icing was wonderful! It was bright colored and fun and I am definitely ordering my wedding cake from them.

I have used them for past 10 yrs since my oldest grandson was 1 yr. old and even though i've moved away i've been able to call them and pay for the cakes and my kids pick it up and always please with it so i would tell people to use them anytime.

Nothing special at all. What was supposed to be buttercream frosting was nothing but shortening and sugar, plus it had a gooey consistency. Not good at all. Anyone who thinks these cakes are special must have not ever eaten a Maxines or had good homemade cake.

The girls at POC are INCREDIBLE! I'm kind of a perfectionist, they couldn't have made it any more perfect! They did our wedding cake march 9 i knew it had to be a different flavor cake for each tier. But classic on the outside. Then my husband HAD to have cheesecake! With his logo on the top. So we got him a grooms cake. Everything we asked for they said no problem! The girl came out to set it up, was on time, did everything to make it beautiful. IT MADE OUR DAY PERFECT!
Then the next weekend was my best friends baby shower. So i knew I had to go back. I took the girls her invitation and asked if they could make the cake look like it. There were about 40 people at her shower. You should have heard the ooowwws and aaahhhs out of these women! At first because it looked so precious, but it was also that delicious!

I love Piece of Cake! I have been there many times over the years and it just keeps getting better and better! I love their cake and they added layered cheesecakes to the menu, the lemon is the best ever!!!! I was very excited that they had large individual cupcakes the last time I was there, I had a great one that was banana with creamcheese frosting. The girls that work there are very sweet and are always helping me decide what I need for my special event. I'll never get a cake anywhere else, they have what I want when I need something fancy and they also have the great cartoon cakes that my kids love, and the best part about that is their lesser decorated cakes cost the same as getting them anywhere else but taste twice as good! I would recommend POC to everyone!

This was hands-down the best chocolate cake and frosting my husband have had. I was especially thrilled since I am not a big frosting lover. This cake was SO moist and delicious. I ended up freezing a couple of big pieces and was happily shocked that it was just as great when we ate it later. I highly recommend this place. It is worth the extra couple of bucks and the drive to Evansville for me.

I ordered a birthday cake for my 8 year old stepson. When I called, I wanted a Dallas Cowboys cake. They wouldn't do it because they said it was copyright infringement. Then, let's throw the other cake places in town in jail! Last year, someone else bought the cake and it was Cowboys. They said they would do a helmet on the cake and they didn't. They said they'd do a football theme and the cake had stars on it with four football rings in the corners. I was terribly disappointed. I would've gone somewhere else, but had waited to order from POC. The colors were OK and the cake was good, but the service is horrible. I've never had trouble with Piece of Cake and have used them in our office and recommended them to people before. I have three baby showers and two weddings coming up and have advised all of them to stay away! I won't order from there again. It was very disappointing for me, but I can take my business someplace else where the people at least try to help out and make the event special to the customer instead of just trying to make the sale.

I ordered a baby shower cake and it was great! I brought the napkins for the color and the cake colors matched EXACTLY! And I go in the store and get very distracted by the wonderful smells of the cakes!!

My mother ordered a cake from this bakery, and an alumni delivered it to UE. It was very pretty, but the whole thing tastes very funny and sort of like plastic. I couldn't choke down even half a piece and felt bad for the trouble my mother had gone through to get it to me. I've seen some very good reviews, and I have no idea what happened. However, this may have been the worst cake I've ever eaten.

My husband ordered my mother's day cake from Piece of Cake. We order all the kids birthday cakes there, but I had never gotten a cake for myself. I was really surprised and delighted. They have my favorite cake banana. My cake had banana pudding and whipped cream and graham crackers. It was simply delicious! I will be ordering this cake again.

My wedding cake was beautiful. It was so perfect, such a gorgous addition to my wonderful day. I almost cried with joy when I saw it, it was so amazing. I can't believe how well the wonderful people at Piece of cake translated my vision of my cake into reality. I would NEVER go anywhere else for a cake. Thank you for your fantastic job!!!!

I will not refer my worst enemy to Piece of Cake! They ruined my daughters eighteenth birthday cake and I had to return it! Not sure if new decorator but it did not look professional like the ones they display in the store.

Their cakes are the best. They do a very unique job decorating the cakes, and it's a thrill to pick up the cake and look at the decorating job! They are definitely decorating artists. If you haven't been a customer at this shop, you are missing out. Their cookies are also the best. Better than homemade.

We order a monthly birthday cake in the office where I work from Piece of Cake, so we've tried nearly every flavor. The "Chocolate Forever" is to die for. These cakes taste so good, you would swear they were homemade.
I've also ordered several birthday cakes, and the decorations were just adorable. Their decorating style is quite creative and whimsical, and not your run-of-the-mill roses.
Highly recommended!

I've used APOC many times! I love every flavor of cake of tried! They were able to explain all the differences and help me choose the best cake for my wedding...it was WONDERFUL! Every time I've needed a cake since, I've gone to them. They also sell deli sandwiches, pies, cookies, and other goodies!

They have absolutely the BEST cakes. Great prices too! Since they are down town their hours are hard to accomodate. Also with being down town there is very limited parrallel parking. Don't expect to walk in there to buy just a "piece of cake" though, I only found cookies. You can order a cake. Good sized for a decent price. Plus they decorate them exactly how you want them. I had one done for a babyshower and a birthday-both turned out beautiful!
