food was average, service was poor. they need to work on presentation, some garnish would go a long way. A pickle, some parsley, something green. The server didn't seem like speaking was a requirement. And even though they have a dessert menu, it was not offered or suggested at the end of the meal. to her credit, she did keep my water glass full and that goes a long way in my book.

This place has gotten a bad rap for being only a club. What most people don't know is the food is actually excellent. Just make sure and go for lunch or an early dinner if you don't want to end up in a club scene.

This is the place to go for really excellent food. The sweet potato fries are to die for. I had a shrimp sandwich that I have craved ever since I went there.

Luck Brewgrille is located in a strip mall in Mission. It is a cross between a nice casual eatery and a sports bar. As you walk in, you are greeted by a friendly hostess, wood-toned decor, and large plazma TV's. The menu is American casual dining standards, with a good selection of appetizers (sweet potato chips are positively addictive!), sandwiches, burgers, salads, pastas, steaks, and seafood. I am partial to the High Plains Steak Salad, which combines two skewers of tender grilled steak with a luscious, tangy dressing, bleu cheese, caramelized onions, and grilled mushrooms. At under $9, you can't beat it. There is a dance floor and another full bar in the basement, which attracts younger patrons on weekends.
As a friendly and upscale neighborhood hangout, I love Lucky Brewgrille.
