Laura Little's Candy Kitchen

I love that all of their chocolates are made fresh and ship out immediately. Also they don't have the preservatives a SEES chocolate type company has to have which I think affects the taste. Including the shipping costs, the price is STILL better than what I can get here. I especially love all of their Turtles, they are rich, gooey and warming and I know they are very picky about using fresh nuts (seems to make all the difference!). Their chocolate peanut butter cup is my winter time blues eraser...it takes my REESES urge to a 'whole nuther level'. I like their dark chocolate truffles, almond bark, and the chocolate fudge and chocolate covered fudge is VERY WORTHY. I have them mail their peanut brittle to my Mom every winter...in fact, I'm getting ready for another order of winter blues erasers. This time, I'm ordering more for myself!

I have a love and passion for fudge and candies. I worked as a pastry chef in my younger years so I know a little about the world of sweets. There fudge is incredible. They have managed to produce volume yet not loose the simplicity and quality of the fudge. I now live 40 miles away but a couple times a year I do what I have to to find my way there.

We stopped in one day and purchased the chocolate covered fudge and it was magnificent. I am not a big candy eater but I love this stuff it is truly the closet thing to sex.

There is nothing better than Laura Littles. It is located on 75th Street just past State Line on the Kansas side. It is a great place to get chocolate covered strawberries for that special someone for Valentine's Day. They have beautiful easter baskets and all kinds of goodies for special holidays. They offer samples. They also serve ice cream in the store. You must try their cookies, they are baked fresh and you will soon be addicted.

You can smell the Laura Little's fudge from the parking lot! Be careful, though, as you're sure to gain 10 pounds just from the scent! You will want to buy one of each, especially when they offer you a sample. A little on the "high price", but sooo worth it! They make up cute gift baskets, perfect for the Holidays. Great store....
