I purchased a living room set from Feldkamp's Topeka 02/13, MSRP price over $4500 according to their hang tags. By end of March noticed some wear defects. Called store 1st of Apil and was told we had had the furniture too long, there was nothing they would do. Talk to a Shawn who indicated that he was running the Topeka store because they didn't have a manager currently. Gave him my number and asked to relay my problems to the store owner and have them give me a call. Waited until latter part of May and had not heard anything. Called again and was told they still didn't have a store manager, asked for the owner's cell number and was told they could not give that out but was assured they would have the owner (John or Sandy I believe they said) call me. This went on until Nov when finally I said if we didn't hear from somebody we were going to load it up and dump it on their front lawn. We filed a dispute with the credit company we had used for financing and finally had a call from a "Patrick Feldkamp" who indicated he was an owner. He made an appointment with us to come out. Instead he sent someone else out to look at it. That gentleman acknowledged that yes it had some defective issues and he took pictures and indicated it would be difficult but that it would be fixed. Didn't hear anything more for over a month, when after again going to the finance company, Patrick called and said he had ordered parts but didn't know how long it would take to get them in. Finally latter part of January 2014 they called and said they had the parts to fix the problems. They picked the furniture up at 11:00 am and brought it back at 5 pm. Said it was fixed. The couch was not fixed...they stuffed a little bit of stuffing on the wrong side of the arm where the problems was and it looked worse then when they picked it up, not to mention the board frame is still poking through so you can not comfortably sit on it. The ottoman they said nothing was wrong with it even though the cushion measures 2 inches shorter on one end than the other. This business must only be in business for the short term because they obviously don't care about repeat business. We are over 60 years old and have bought quite a bit of furniture in 40 years...I have never returned or had problems with any other furniture...this is the absolute worst retailer I have done business with. Buyers Beware!

I've been waiting eight weeks for the delivery of two dining room chairs. I made several calls and they keep telling me they'll get back with me, but don't return the calls.

After getting nowhere, I asked to speak with the owner (Sandy) but she had someone else call me back 6 hours later. I guess she didn't have time for a customer.

My chiars are suppose to be here in two more weeks - 10 weeks from the time I purchased them. I doubt it.

Customer Service - terrible;
Follow up - terrible;
quality of furniture - low end.

We loved the furniture we bought, but customer service was poor. We knew we would have to wait a few weeks for one of our couches, but months went by and we did not receive return phone calls, management and staff were rude and there was NO follow through. Would not recommend purchasing furniture here, price and product are decent but if you have a problem, you will not receive good customer service.....

As a frequent customer to the city of Concordia, as well as long time resident, I am appalled at the disclaim toward Brian. I have made numerous visits to Feldkamp's Furniture in our downtown and have been very pleased by his utter respect, willingness to offer friendly service and his overall knowledge of the inventory of his store. He has been nothing but friendly in attempts to make my furniture shopping successful and I disagree with the below statement.

I went to the Feldkamp's Furniture store in Concordia. As I entered the store, the Salesman, I later found out to be named Brian, was taking a nap in a recliner, close to the front of the store. He jumps up and sourly greets me. He made me feel like I should just turn around and leave. I asked about beds and he said they were at the back of the store. We walked up front with me, then said "If you need any help I'll be at the counter. He never even tried to sell me a bed set. So I didn't even try to buy one, I left.

I have shopped several times at Feldkamp's and have had nothing but great experiences. We had a problem with our dining table and the owner personally came to our house and made the necessary adjustments. We have purchased various items and have had great customer service. I would strongly recommend that you shop Feldkamp's Home Furnishings in Manhattan, KS.

This is not a place where the customers will be treated honestly. We picked out a set of La-z-boy sofa and recliner at this store. The sale person re-assured us that they would be brand new from their ""warehouse"" (as they have a few in stock). The sofa was delivered a few days later with some minor scratch, but we still kind of believed that it was new and maybe such minor defects were common. A week later, we went back to the store to shop for coffee table and end tables. Accidentally, we found out that what we received were actually floor units! We were quite upset and went to see the manager. The only thing he had to say is "I don't know"! When pressed, he claimed "I don't care; just bring it back if you do not want it. I will refund"! This is a shocking experience. We will never go back!

added: the sale person later called us and promised us a new replacement. but, I am not impressed by the way they practice the business.

The Concordia Store is wonderful with the right sales person. The sales Lady was so helpful. I had her running all over the store. Bless her heart. Up and down stairs. Couldn't make up my mind. She suggested so many alternatives. Showed me books. A+ to her. Because of her I now own a beautiful living room set. \r
I did have mix feelings about going back to the store, since the last time I was waited on by a man, who was not helpful and did not even act like he wanted to sell me anything. But as I am older in my years, I can not just drive out of town to buy furniture. So I went back and met the very wonderful saleslady. Her name was Reva. I have her business card so I will be able to request her for further purchases. And if it is her day off, then I will return when she is available. Thank you for hiring such a wonderful lady.
