Kvc Behavioral Healthcare

We have recently decided to stop doing foster care do to KVC decideing to keep changing there polices to sute there needs not the foster homes. We were lied to about the kids, case workers would not return our calls when kids were cought doing things they were not supposed to be doing can not say on the review do to privacy policy we signed. KVC policy states if there is police involvment the family does not have to take the child back into the home if they fell what happend would continue well that is if it suits KVC if not then you have to take the kids back and if you do not they will put your home on hold pull your foster kids out of your home and make you do 3, 4 or even 5 months of training before they will revaluate if you are able to continue with KVC as a resorce family.. I have spoke to the other local agencys and there seams to be a patern of familys leaving KVC due to a number of reason and one common factor is NO SUPORT FROM THE KVC FSC OR FROM THE CASE WORKERS!!!!! If we had known we never would have whent with KVC. So if someone reads this check with the othere agences first they offer familys more information and offer finacial help when a foster child destroys your home and property when KVC will not assist you in anyway. They state it is up to you to take care of it that is why they give you the monthly check for, well that is not enough to cover thousands of dollars in damages done to your home like with ours. So now we have to do all the repairs out of our pocket. Again if anyone reads this review stay away from KVC.

I am a foster parent who wants to remain unknown... KVC in KCK is very rude, unhelpful, not willing to help the resorce familys in anyway shape or form. They do not care about the kids they place. If there are issues the resorce family can not handle KVC says oh well not our problem figure it out your self. If the kids need Dr's Appointments yet again no help, Transportation to help the familys out who have to work so they can pay the bills and so on..So we as a resorce family will not ever recomend anyone to do foster care with KVC...And as for us we are putting in our notice letting KVC know we are done....
