I moved from Montana 1 year ago, and I have to say that discovering WCJC is the highlight of my move. They treat me respectfully, and the front desk staff are very courteous to me. Being a first time mother, I was naturally quite nervous about the whole thing, but Dr Holmes completely put me at ease with her deep knowledge and experience -- I've never had a more positive experience with any doctor in the past, period. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr Holmes in a heartbeat.

I wouldn't recommend the Women's Clinic of Johnson County based on the wait times and there reception staff. Dr. Holmes was great but in the end I don't think it really matters how your doctor is when someone else ends up delivering. Three weeks till the due date I don't think patients should be required to wait an hour in the lobby just to have a 5 minute appt. Other waits ranged from 30-45 minutes. The reception staff and checkout staff are not exactly courteous. Then I was charged $15 for them to fill out my FMLA form.

Dr. Lombard is one of the doctors on staff at Women's Clinic, and she is one of the nicest people that I've ever met. She delivered my son, and I hope that she's around for awhile to deliver any future children I have! The nurses and staff at the offices are absolutely wonderful, and so kind. It's a warm, caring environment, where you don't have to feel uncomfortable. I recommend this practice to all women that need a OBGYN.

Dr. Jessie Holmes is, by far, the best doctor I have ever had. She really gets to know you and becomes a great friend. She delivered two of my four kids and was absolutely wonderful during both deliveries and during the pregnancies themselves. She always gives me a hug everytime I go in to see her. She is definitely an asset to that practice.

I moved away 4 years ago to Southern California, and since I haven't found a doctor to my liking as Dr. Holmes was. She made me feel comfortable and she was very understanding. I liked the fact that it was an all women's clinic with only female doctors and it's very hard to find a clinic with all female doctors here in Cali. I am still on my quest to find that doctor that can match Dr. Holmes, but it will be hard because she has set the benchmark pretty high.

Jessie Holmes is an amazing OB. Her personal care and attention made me feel more like a friend than just a patient. She took the time to get to know my family. I only had to wait one time longer than one of my appointment times. The staff at each office is incredible. I would reccomend any women to go there.
PROS: All female staff

I've been going to WCJC for years. They have 3 locations: near Shawnee Mission Med, in Western Shawnee and at Menorah. I have seen a total of 4 doctors and 2 RNPs for different appointments (first available, doctor on call for delivery, etc). and all have been absolutely outstanding. My main doctor is Sharla Shipman and she is so knowledgable and kind. Her appointments do tend to run significantly behind though, so bring a good book to the office. I have quite a commute to this practice but won't consider changing!
