I discovered this little shop one day while driving by ... there was a white wicker chair out front that I HAD to have for my front porch. SO I stopped and went in and found a virtual treasure chest of great home interior items.

Tables, chairs, dressers, couches, pictures... candle holders, knick knacks...

The lady that runs this store is so nice and helpful ... a delight to talk with. I told her that when I watch shows on HGTV, they always go to shops just like this one but we just didn't have any here. NOW we do!

Encore offers a layaway program too ... ask at the store for details! If you are looking for some home furnishings with some character - this is the place to go!

I first found Encore about 2 weeks after it opened and hit it off with the owner. They have had wonderful furniture from the start, and they are less expensive than other furniture consignement shops in town. The only problem I have had is that when I wanted to sell something, I could never seem to get hold of the owner. She is the only one who evaluates and helps price and decide if she will carry your items. I would leave a message for her and she would sometimes call me back but say she had to call me later to schedule an appointment. I think mostly if you are selling large items, like couches or a dining room table, she is eager to get your items as they sell so quickly. But for smaller decor items, you kinda have to wait awhile.

However, shopping there is a great experience!

CONS: Harder time selling smaller items
