Za's Pizza Pub

In talking about great Pizza in Louisville, most people seem to have Za's on their shortlist. Za's just does it right: deep, thick crusts and quality ingredients. This is what a pizzeria is supposed to be like, it will make you weep at the thought of chain store delivery pizza.

As for what's the best in Louisville, it probably comes down to personal preference, but the places that compete for the title are all located along Bardstown Road.

Za's is a bit pricey (especially compared to the chains) and has a bar atmosphere, which can be a problem for families. It can also tend to be full and with a 30+ minute wait on weekend night.
