When it comes to you getting what you pay for this is the place to go to!! The staff is great and they will work with you to get the best possible tattoo you can get. I have some tattoos from other places and they are one by one getting redone at Tattoo Charlies! I will never go any where else!!!

Hey. I have survived two tattooes and a tongue piercing, and I'm considering a third tattoo. I can't possibly consider another place to get my work done other than Tattoo Charlie's.

What made my first experience there so wonderful was that my artist Carlotta quickly anticipated my nervousness about getting body work done. She explained the whole procedure, urged me to relax, and started up some mild conversation while preparing the equipment. As stated in another review, the facility is very clean. Since my last visit, the store has built in "mini-parlors" housing each tattoo artist's individual equipment, materials, and chair. The addition makes the experience even more comfortable and personal.

My first tattoo took three hours to complete because of all the intricate color and design; it's a Chinese yin-yang with two dolphins swimming around it. The second one -- a small black dragon -- took only an hour. Carlotta was kind enough to give me a bit of a break between the "phases" of the tattoo. In any case, expect to make a bit of a day trip. Good work like this certainly isn't reserved for a tattoo-while-you-wait crowd.

When we were finished, she carefully explained how to care for the tattoo during its initial stages of healing.

As far as price goes, it's hard to estimate if it were reasonable or not. I don't know how much ink and needles fare for these days, to tell the truth. In any case, it was a great experience overall worth every penny.

My advice. Don't get a tattoo and a piercing the same day. You're just asking for a lot of pain.

I also wanted to send my regards to Chris, one of the piercers present, and to Bishop, who was the guy that gave me my tongue ring (no longer there). Okay, so maybe Bishop wasn't cool to tell me to count to three and then he stuck the piercing through my tongue just as I let out a two, but no big deal. And as embarrassed as I was to be unable to remove the tongue ring, Chris grinned, took it out for me and

PROS: excellent service, highly informative procedures, good after-care
CONS: none

I was nervous at first but it is a clean facility and great people work there. Nothing to be scary about. They explain everything they are doing to you and even talk to you while it's being done. Price is reasonable.

JOSH the TRAUMAHOUND made sure to explain what he was doing and why. I took an idea to him and he was able to draw up a piece of art. He paid attention to even the smallest details including the wood grain of the handles in my meat cleaver. The place is surgical clean with lots of light and is very open and airy. They do CUSTOM work and have numerous designs on the walls so you can pick one out or they will create one for you. Their PRICES are very REASONABLE. YOU get great tattoos at not cheap tattoos. JOSH has a very soft hand and does the small things to make you more comfortable while he does his work. All of the artists were friendly and open. I will not go anywhere else.
