Speed Art Museum

I visited the Speed Art Museum during a travelling impressionists exhibit. I was very impressed with the museum itself. The volunteers were extremely knowledgeable as they led visitors around and told about the paintings. There was adequate parking in the area. The gift shop offered a nice variety.

This museum is very nice. It has a lot of different types of art and many different exhibits. I don't think it's a good place for kids, but is a nice place for adults to visit. The admission price is reasonable, it's definitely worth a visit. It is very clean and in a nice area. Stop on by!

Speed Art Museum has a great selection of paintings. There are thousands of pieces of art in their collection, so everyone can find something to enjoy. Some of my favorite pieces of art date back to ancient Egypt, but there are contemporary pieces as well. Also, it was interesting to view some pieces from local artists which included portraits, sculpture, and pieces of furniture. There is a great gift shop and cafe you should not forget to visit. Admission is free, but a donation is recommended. Special programs and exhibitions may require you to pay something. Everyone should visit this place at least once.

I highly recommend visiting the Speed Museum. I went there several times when I was a child and I can't wait to take my daughter there. I enjoy art and they have a great collection! Several rooms with a wide variety to look at. Definitely worth a visit whether you are a visitor or a resident.

I worked downtown on UL campus and we would go over to the Speed Museum frequently. This is one of the nicer museums in Louisville. Alot of money has been focused on making this museum top notch.

Scheller's on Preston Highway has been around for quite awhile. They have all sorts of new fitness equipment and bicycles for all ages. Their showroom is very nice and clean. They have alot of ramps in the showroom, I believe to move merchandise around easier, but to also make it more handicapped accessible. The staff is very knowledagable about their products. They can also order replacement products if need be. They offer a very good warranty package (at an extra cost, I believe) where they can come to your house if there is a problem with your fitness equipment.
