I took my cat to Dixie Animal for the first time 2wks ago o get her groomed and I'm pleased i will continue to take her there..... very pleased thanks

I have 2 cockers and have taken them there since I got them. My youngest had cherry eye and had to have surgery by Dr. Roark . Price was very reasonable for the surgery. Although the first surgery did not hold she redid the surgery for no charge and her eye has been perfect ever since. I've had no problems with this hosp other than the wait is a little long sometimes. It seems to me like the front office could use a little more organization. They seem to be what makes the wait so long. Sometimes I just want to pick up some flea meds or heartworm meds and it takes forever just to pick those up even if they dont have to see your dog. That is my only complaint. The cost of all their services are very reasonable.

I have been taking my pets to Dixie for a couple of years now and I always have had to come at night because I work during the day, Every time I come in I'm greeted by warm friendly faces who are very knowledgeable and go out of their way to meet my needs. In my opinion the management is doing a great job with the staff that I have had the pleasure of dealing with. They also have very compassionate veterinarians who treat each of my pets like they were their own. Not to mention the prices are awesome!!!!

I have 2 large breed dogs and Dr. Bobb and Dr, Medley are terrific with them. We have gone thru some pretty bad health problems with Festus over the past couple years and the docs and staff were so sympathetic and so helpful in keeping him on schedule during his recovery and making sure he was placed on the right diet. We won't take them anywhere else for regular check ups and visits mostly because they are so good with our furry kids, and their staff is terrific. They are crowded every time I take the dogs in for a visit. A crowded waiting room doesn't bother me because they are quick and efficient and I never wait too long and its a good sign to see a packed house. It just proves they are doing something very right!

I have had my animals out to Dixie for a number of years, both for medical and grooming. Most of the staff on the medical side know me when I enter the building, my chart is always pulled, I am greeted with a smiling face (most of the time) they make me feel special. That is also how it had been on the grooming side for the past 9 months. That receptionist ALWAYS had a smile on her face, always ask how things had been going for me and my babies. She was such a joy to deal with. That poor gal, I remember her working when she couldn't even talk last year. But she was still pleasant, and wore that beautiful smile. I came in last week for a grooming appt., my friend behind the desk was no longer there. Broke my heart. The lady who was working was not at all pleasant, she was there to work, very dry, strickly business, no smile. I certainly appreciated the extra effort the other lady had with us while on the grooming side. I always made many purchases over there and she was always so very helpful. Now, I am lucky to get a "is there something I can help you with" When it came to checkout time, she always had my flea and heart preventive pulled and ready to go, never did I have to ask her. That gal was a huge asset to the grooming side, it is definatley your loss. It appears to me that they need to take a look at their management staff....they have far to much turnover of employees. New people all the time. Not a good sign. Thank goodness that Dr. Bobb and Dr. Roark are all still there, and my three gals at the front desk Margie, Jenna and Diane. I have delt with them for years. The rest of the front desk staff could stand to learn a few things from those three. Can't beat the prices here, I do think they are about the best around Jefferson County. The owners may want to think about checking into their managerial staff. I have had one of the managers come and get my dog to take back to the Dr. she is very unpleasent, an as transcluent as can be, poor management quality if you ask me. I have one piece of advice for the office lady, this is an animal business....if you can't show some compassion for them and mean it, then you need to find employment elsewhere. You are not what Dixie Animal hospital needs working there. To those of you who do care, keep up the good work.

I have been taking my pets to Dixie Animal Hospital for over 20 years. Over time they have service 7 dogs and two cats for my family. Originally, I was 5 miles from the office. Currently, I live 25 miles away and still drive my pets to there office for care. My research has shown their prices are less than other places. The service is great, thought the office is occasionally crowded. Go figure.

My Mother and I have been taking pets to Dixie Animal for 13yrs.We have a Maltese, Nikko which has severe allergies.He has been to the point with these allergies at times that I thought we were going to lose him.Dr. Bob has worked with us and always very caring about our situation.Nikko is doing much better,he has some break-outs from time to time but we can usually get it figured out before it gets out of control.The staff at Dixie is very caring and always ask how my Nikko is doing,and always with a smile on their face:)

My first visit was about 2 weeks after i got my little dashound mix sandy. i took her in as soon as i noticed she was not eating or even drinking i took her in and they said she had parvo and had a 50/50 chance of survival. They gave me everything under the sun to give her to get better and gave us tips and ideas to help her get better there where all sorts of thing she was suppossed to go through befor she would start showing signs of getting better. But she didnt after just 3 days she was inproveing and i am happy to say i still have her shes 7yrs old now and i have been takeing all my little babys to there and no where else sense thene.

PROS: GREAT PRICES!! short waiting friendly helpful staff!!! careing doctors
CONS: hard to get ahold of doctors, and nurses dont deliver messages to doctors.

When I moved to the area, I found their prices to be MUCH lower than "back home", yet feel the care is exceptional comparatively. Dr. Bob not only took good care of us, but took time to talk to us about pet issues specific to our new land. When our beloved dog became ill, Dr. Bob spent hours on end with him (little to no charge) & even provided his home phone number if needed. He even bought/handfed the dog a hamburger to try to get him to eat. When it came time to let him go, Dr. Bob was really patient with our family. Dr. Roark is not as outgoing as Dr. Bob, but has spent ALOT of (quality) time explaining options/ practical solutions to another pet's illness. I ALWAYS leave there paying less than I expected and I am ALWAYS told all options -from least to most expensive -with the most practical solution pointed out. I will never use another vet.

The Dixie Animal Hospital has a groomers on one side of the business and the hospital is on the other. The grooms do a great job and are great with your animals. The only negative is, they are really hard to get an appointment with. I am saying it is easier to make a doctors appointment then to get your animal in for a hair cut. They need more people. Otherwise I am very pleased with their service.

We really enjoy taking our animals here. The staff is very friendly, kind and professional. They treat the animals with care. They also take in baby animals whose mothers have either been killed or abandoned them. My husband took them a baby squirrel and they nursed it and raised it and released it back into the wild. They truly care about animals and I feel very comfortable taking my fur babies to them.

My cat had to have major sugery and I was really worried

After explaining my anxiety about the operation, they sat with me, explaining everything Right after the surgery, I was called to be let known how he was. And was told to be sure and call any time I wanted to make sure she was doing well.

The Vets and staff are very professional and have a great love for all animals

I have taken my dog to them on several different occasions and each time they told me the same thing was wrong with my dog and she was not getting any better. I took her to a different animal hospital, they gave her one shot and she has never had the problem again!

This is a great clinic to take your pets to for there check ups. I really like the staff they have working there. The people are friendly , and the service seems fast. I have used this place for several years, and continue going back. They seem to remember there patients from each visit you bring them. I feel the pricing is also good. They are very fair and really care about the animals.

I love the people here, they take such great care of your pets and seem to really be concerned for them. They are very knowlegable and caring and will even take in wild animals, such as baby squirrels that have been hurt. They diagnosed my dog with a disease when no other very would/could and it has helped save her life. I think they do a great job and would recommend them to anyone.

We love the staff that works here. The vets are exceptional is caring for animals. The prices are great. They give discounts if you bring two pets in at a time. we use there kennel as well. The people take great care of your pets while your away. That's important to us. If they are there for 4 or more days, they give them complimentary baths. The store next door is great as well. Has a lot of neat products to purchase. We have been using them for over 10 years.
