by kieth m.
I have been there twice and both times almost got in a fight with people for throwing over my lines or when i reeled in cutting me off so i couldn't fish there anymore and god forbid u start catching fish because it like a heard of cows coming to feed ever damn body on the lake will try and throw right on top of u so yes there are fish there but no it's not worth fighting with the people to catch them.

Tim's = The Best Paylake Around.
by Jeremy M.
Hey, I'm Jeremy Matlock. I'm 16 years old and have fished at Tim's for two years now, and I promise you, it's the best pay lake around. The owner, "Tim May" is A great person, his family are all nice and helpful. You Catch Alot of fish. I would say in the two years i've been fishing at Tim's i've had to gave caught over 300 fish. I Fish The Bottom Pond Mostly. It's Full of BIG FISH. Mostly 20 and up. The biggest i've caught in the bottom pond was a fourty-eight pound flathead. Don't get me wrong...The Top Pond is a load of fun. $5 - 5 fish. $7-7 fish. $10-10 fish. $20-20 Fish. They average between 2 and 4 pounds. I love Tim's Paylake. Everyone is friendly and it's a great place to make friends. That's not all. The bait store has everything you could possibly need. Things like, food. Snacks, Pop, Water, Gatorade. Bait and Tackle. Fishing Poles, Dip Nets, and even Gloves.

super nice workers will help you in anyway they can.
in my opinion if you can't catch fish there you don't need to be fishing.

Never going again
by Anonymous
We went to Tims Pay lake a couple of weeks ago and it was awlful. We paid our money and were pushed out of every spot we tried to fish by rude regulars, this was at the top pond and we went down to the bottom pond they were so much food in the lake, like brim and gold fish and shiners, we stayed 12 hours and never caught anything and it wasnt us because we catch fish everywhere else we go. People shouldn't be allowed to treat people bad but i guess it is allowed. I think you should have to fish in the spot in front of you not on everyone else, but all i know these are home boys and an do what they want, but next time me my husband and son fish we will go were the atmosphere is better and where we get treated right. But do what you want but you will see if you go

Not fond of paylakes…until now
by George M.
I am 41 years old and have been fishing even before I can remember, growing up in Cleveland Ohio and in PennsylvaniaI have fished in many different waters. Great Lakes to small southeastern streams of big and small fish has always proved to be enjoyable and challenging catching the wild fish from Gods great outdoors. We have been a fishing family all our lives when my brother started fishing paylakes many years ago I went with him on several occasion, always finding myself saying why on earth would I pay to fish when I an go to the river or the lakes. I had never had real success or enjoyment by fishing these captured fish, but loved watching Craig catch the fire out of the cats and carp and trout depending from the lakes we fished.
I had moved to Kentucky in 2000 and fished the many spots I have heard about through word of mouth and the local tackle spots had told me about. Craig had moved down here in 2003 and started right away to find the hot spots, he had run across Tims Paylake and immediately came to me and said George I know you hate paylakes but you have to fish Tims. Reluctantly I went with him and excepted to find a hole in the ground and water dumped into it, driving down the twisted and turning road I had felt the excitement Craig was feeling, he rattled off about both top and the bottom lake and when we turned that corner and I seen the lakes, I started to see something I had never seen before in a Paylake.
The place was not a mud hole and dumping place for trash and just out for the money. I seen a family oriented environment and the place that had everything that a novice would need or the seasoned fisherman would need to fish. We fished the bottom pond for the big cats and within several hours Craig had caught 3 fish the biggest being 44 pounds. I had some bites but I never had landed a fish that day but I had changed my mind about paylakes, or to say it better I have fished Tims many more time since then. Top notch place.
So if you asked me about paylakes I would tell you go to Tims

We love Tim's Paylake!
by Candace L.
Me, my husband, and my 7 year old son go here all the time during the summer. We ALWAYS catch fish. We bring 'em home and eat 'em too! My husband actually went down there yesterday with his brother and a guy from church. They stayed all night and caught several large catfish. There has never been a tme that we have not caught fish. We drive from Harlan, Ky and it is always well worth our time AND money!

My husband and his best friend onced LOVED going here. but not anymore. They have been several times and sit hours at a time there and catch nothing. They do not keep it stocked as much as they shold or something. I most certainly wouldnt waste my money there.
