The Brown has been a household word for my entire life. I have been there many times as a child to eat in the English Pub - the home of the Hot Brown Sandwich. As an adult, my husband and I spent our Anniversary there, and I wanted to steal the sheets! I have never slept on softer, more comfortable sheets. Our room was pure elegance, as was the entire hotel. The Crystal Chandeliers in the ballroom, the fresh flowers everywhere, and the exemplary service, makes this a true luxury experience!

The Brown Hotel is such a novelty place to stay when visiting Louisville. Not only is it beautiful and historical, but it is the home of the legendary Kentucky Hot Brown. And their's is by far the best! Stay here for the history and you won't be dissappointed with the comfort and beauty of the hotel, but you have to try the Hot Brown from the Brown Hotel!!!

The Brown Hotel is located on the corner of 4th and Broadway in downtown Louisville, close to 4th Street Live, theaters, and restaurants. There is a nice fitness and business center, a great restaurant called the English Grill, and a bar located inside the hotel. This place is close to the convention center, but not as close as the Marriott Hotel and the Hyatt Regency . There is a trolley that stops in front of the Brown Hotel that will take you directly to the convention center, 4th Street Live, and many restaurants. Parking is in a garage and does cost money. The rooms in the hotel are very nice. All the rooms have dressers, armoires, televisions, large bathrooms, irons and ironing boards, hairdryers, and Caswell Massey bath products. One of the reasons I love staying at this hotel is the free Caswell Massey bath products. These are great products! I think the prices are reasonable compared to some of the other hotels I have stayed in. The staff is very helpful and polite. The rooms were extremely clean.

Felt very special

We stayed for our anniversary and I have to say, the hotel is beautiful decorated in victorian style--looking very rich. The staff was great, the rooms were clean and beautiful. They had a bar downstairs from the rooms that was next to a great room with a piano player. I felt like I was a movie star back in the 40's or something. It took me back to another time. It is rare to find a hotel like this. I didn't smell one whiff of smoke either. They also had a restaurant downstairs and fresh flowers in every public room
