I went to this office a couple of times I the past year due to loss of employment and receiving passport insurance. I selected this office because it wasnt too far and someone recommended me to this location. My daughter is nine years old and she has been going to the same pediatrician since birth. When I went to this location it was like a culture shock. The office was dirty and the Dr. was rude. My daughter had pneumonia and at the time I didnt know, I took her to her regular pediatrician and I paid out of pocket because Strathmoor Pediatrics was closed. Anyway the medicine she was given was too strong and instead of paying more out of pocket expenses I tool her to Strathmoor. The doctor told me in a rude way that Passport was not going to pay for two visits, I said ok. But the issue is that my daughter has pneumonia and I need a different type of medicine. He says, rudely, how do you know? I explained again, I took her to her former pediatrician and thats what I was told and I paid them out of pocket, and that he will be getting paid for his services. He says oh, then he checks her and says your right she has pneumonia. I was so angry with him because he acted as if he was better than me. I thought he was Very rude to me and staff. I did end up with medicine that worked for her so thats a Blessing. But I was also rude to someone that I came to get help from. That is totally out of character for me. I try to treat everyone kind and respectful, but this Dr. brings the worse out of you.

After an embarrassing broken finger in PE class, I was so thankful when Dr Johnson could fix on a splint that day. He knew exactly the people to send me to so that I could get my x-ray, check to see everything was okay, and still be back at home in bed by a comfortable time.
What others below have described as a "dirty" or "loud" environment, I found altogether comforting. Dr Johnson treated his workers like family. The colorful pictures and things to see on the wall even entertained my boisterous, little brother.
Though Dr Johnson appeared to be a quiet and reserved person, there was no time when I thought he was anything less than knowledgeable and professional. Indeed, he even let me and my brother pick out stickers!
I'd recommend Dr Johnson to anyone who would like to trust themselves to a great doctor, with people who are very caring and dedicated in what they do.

I just recently moved to the area leaving behind a wonderful pediatrician that my children adored. After waiting an hour in the dirty exam room, as my children were getting extremely upset from sweating due to the heat in the office on a 75 degree day, the doctor finally arrived. He gave my infant an immunization he did not yet need, although I brought both immunization records for both of my children. He asked why I scheduled both boys on the same day, which for most working individuals is the most convenient thing to do since it is extremely difficult to take consistent days off from work. The doctor was extremely unprofessional to his staff, yelling and arguing with them while we were in the exam room. He eventually came to close our door after realizing we had heard the entire conversation. I am a well educated, successful woman and wonderful mother to my children, yet this doctor made me feel as if I were an idiot and a terrible mother. I left this office in tears feeling the visit was all a dream. I would not recommend this man to any mother or father in the Louisville area and hope no one else has to experience what we did.

I have been taking my children to this office for a couple of years now, and I have to say it's not the best office. The Dr. is competent, but has poor patient relations skills. He doesn't forfeit any information about your child's condition unless you ask, and he can be quite unfriendly at times. But he does seem to know what he is doing as far as medicine is concerned. The office isn't very clean, the floors are dirty and I've killed many spiders in the exam rooms. The office staff is agreeable and assistants are okay, but not the best compared to many other offices I've visited.
PROS: dr. is well educated in medicine
CONS: dirty office, and unfriendly dr. at times
