Raymond and Monyann Nugent, new owners of Jim Bowie's Relay Station including the restaurant are lovely people who love their visitors.

Whether you come to visit the restored old buildings from the area, shop in their store, or dine on Friday or Saturday nights, it will be well worth your trip.

They have live music each night and many of the performers are excellent. If you are a first time visitor, be sure to get your free bottle of Catahoula Hot Sauce. If it is a birthday celebration, you get a bottle of Cane Syrup.

Their steaks and seafood are wonderful and you can get delicious hush puppies all meal long! For dessert they have delicious cobbler with ice cream. Yummm!

They do take-out also, so you can carry more for lunch or supper the next day! It's that good.

Another unique experience for the Relay Station is the Enterprize-Duty Ferry run by the Louisiana Highway Dept. across the Ouachita River. Oh, yeah, it'll cost you $1 but only if you are crossing northbound and only if the driver is less than 65 years of age. :-)
